Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Maybe the shop is using the preload adjustment to set the height.

I may do one event/year, but even then I wont be trying to set records.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ive emailed Feal already, but wanted to post here in the meantime as I currently have a 2:00 alignment appointment tomorrow.
shop installed my Feal coilovers and the rear is damn near touching the tire with almost no adjustment left to raise it. This cant be right, as Ive seen pics of Feals on 996s at almost stock height all the way around. We did install other suspension components as support, but all the usually-recommended parts. Is there anything, off hand, than anyone can recommend to check as the culprit? He said he could max it out, but would only raise it maybe another 1/4 at most and then it would probably ride like absolute ****.
Sounds like they didnt extend the rear shock.
Tell them to have one person grab the end with the three studs and another person grab the end where the single bolt goes and then turn lefty loosey.
The entire thing rotates and can definitely get to near stock height.
Once they understand, they can place the end with the single bolt hole in a vise and lengthen the shock.
They will have to set preload again.
Get the instructions from Feals website.
To adjust, loosen the single silver ring and then rotate the end.
The shock on the right is close to stock height.
On the left would slam the car to the ground.
Are you doing the Feals for track or just street? I'm looking at these as well (vs Ohlins) and any additional opinion/input would be helpful.
Nevermind, saw you said, "not-for-track" over in the GT thread. Man, tough crowd over there!
90% street. I may do one event/year, but even then I wont be trying to set records. Just hone skills and learn the car. Eventually, it may be a track only car when my son is older, but Im many years away from that. I will reassess suspension then, assuming I still have the car.
I dont need a stiff-*** ride to drive into downtown SATX to work on a Friday or around the hill country on the weekends with my wife and kid.
haha indeed. The snobbery is real. They had information that could have helped me, but they chose to talk **** about my brand choice instead. Well some of them did. I dont get it.
Sometimes when I was at the clay range, I'd consider if it was even worth pushing the button for a bird, or if i should just shoot the air and save the $0.50... Since it would have the same outcome
But we digress! Hopefully the shop just didn't extend the Feals. I 'feel' like I'd make the same mistake if/when I get around to installing them...
If you are trying to get those Wheels/ tires to fit " medium offset" is pretty much meaningless -millimeters matter. You need ETs. That's what you need to know. They should tell you what you have when you purchase them or it might be stamped in the wheels.
