Can I use the "holes" on the 4 corners to just jack one at a time or do I need to jack it up in the center directly beneath the door?

Suggestion

I thought it needed to be bled, but even after following the correct procedure (saddle up, pump, saddle down, close valve, fill), it still takes too much leverage before the piston is engaged.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got my Harbor Freight jack and going out to the garage to remove wheels for some SERIOUS cleaning. I only need to jack one wheel at a time. Can I use the "holes" on the 4 corners to just jack one at a time or do I need to jack it up in the center directly beneath the door? Yes Yes I did a search but unfortunately it made me question more than understand. TIA

POST 2Original post

if you only need to jack up one corner at a time, i would put a hocky puck on the jack and jack up on the jacking point. i am not sure you should jack the car up mid point b/n front/rear axel below the door.

POST 4Original post

You did a search....but did you look in your owner's manual. It should tell you where to jack

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup Owner's manual works too....kinda forgot about that one...

POST 6Original post

If you jack the car from the rear jack point (just in front of the rear wheel) it will lift the whole side of the car and you can do the front and rear wheel at the same time. Karl

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Karl...as soon as I find my lug key I'll be in business.

POST 8Original post

karl is absolute right. i wasn't thinking. that is how i jack up my car to put on stands. i simply forgotten that when i saw you only needed to jack up one corner at a time, duh on my part !

POST 9Original post

better hurry before your harbor freight jack starts letting in air like mine did....i gotta send it back on monday

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Alpine...what is your Harbor Freight jack doing???....

POST 12Original post

I thought it needed to be bled, but even after following the correct procedure (saddle up, pump, saddle down, close valve, fill), it still takes too much leverage before the piston is engaged. I attempted to bleed it several times. Definately a leak. I think I should send it back, I am not able to deal with this kind of setback via mail; If it were Craftsman, I could run it back to Sears, at least.
