Anyone have any feedback or recommendations on replacing the stock air flow system with a PowerFlow kit, evo, or Maxflow air box enhancement kit or any other I may have missed. Is there a noticeable difference in performance? Do they actually increase the HP like they claim? Are they easy to install? worth the money? Some are quite expensive. I currently have a stock 996 with a BMC air filter. Thanks in Advance.

Well, my own personal experience is that the BMC filter and removing the internal screens does as much as any of these kits. I tried one kit that had the metal tube and cone filter but I had a terrible flat spot between 4500 and 5500 RPM -- not good. I tried several things and finally sent it back. YMMV

yeah I agree. However the main area to gain other than the bmc would be to remove that airbox silencer! When you physically remove it, it increases a lot of airspace.
