Went down to the dealership with the intent of test driving a 993TT. I ended up driving an 03 Carrera instead and was very impressed. I'll go back later this weekend and drive a 993TT but would like some feedback from you guys on the choice here. Of course I would weigh having warranty in in an 03 vs not having it in the 993TT. TIA Kaz

993TT is still a Turbo Porsche. The power and drivability are sportier and more race feel than a stock C2. Depends what you are looking for. If you are going to use it every day and want to be comfortable, use your cupholders and still have power, go for the 02/03 C2 or 4. For ***** out racing and cockpit feel, shoot for the 993TT. If you look resale, the 993TT will probably win in the long run also. Again, these cars are night and day; It all depends on what you are looking for. A new car is still a new car though.

It really comes down to whether you want boost or not.......if you're like me, once you drive a boosted 911 you can't really go back (which sucks, because I have a 911SC and have driven a 930 turbo and since then never look at my car the same). I think once you test drive the 993 it'll be pretty obvious to yourself what you really want.

Thanks for the input guys. Zamirz interestingly enough this weekend i got a ride in a tracked out 78 911 with a 3.2 engine in it. Car weighed nothing and put 250hp to the rear wheels. The driver basically conducted a driving clinic for me and it was quite humbling.
