Guys, One of the preset stations will alternate every few minutes between the set frequency and another which is not set. I understand the RDBS may seek out an alternate stronger frequency but only if the broadcast content is the same. Is there any way to disable this feature? I've scheduled an appt at the dealer on tuesday, but would rather not let them have at it. Thanks '03 C2 Seal grey

I haven't had this problem....wait until you get the "radio is on but no sound" problem....one second it won't work and then the next second it will...very frustrating.

Did Porsche deal with your problem of "radio is on but no sound"? I'd expect a replacement radio or cash in order to pay for a system that works from an audio installer.

I'm pretty sure that the "radio on no sound" problem is directly related to the security system. Its an anti-theft feature. All you need to do is turn off the car, lock the car with the key (enabling the alarm) and unlock the car with the key and then it should work fine. Its just a misread between the chip in the key (immobilizer) and the radio's security system.

The service advisor said he is aware of the problem, that the radio will not hold on 90.1 but will alternate between it and the next strong signal or preset. He implied there is no fix for this. The radio is useless if this is the case. What are my alternatives?
