This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion · Original poster

It's a clean car, but not perfect; some wear on the soft top, trunk releases badly scuffed on the interior, three of the four rims are nicked, couple of scratches on the paint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking at a 99 Carrera 4 cabriolet; the car has 40k miles and is certified by a Porsche dealer, full supple leather option, Litronics, chrome exhaust tips, 18" rims, DSP audio, lumbar on the driver's seat and wood steering wheel, shift **** and brake handle. Color is dark green and interior is savannah beige. It's a clean car, but not perfect; some wear on the soft top, trunk releases badly scuffed on the interior, three of the four rims are nicked, couple of scratches on the paint. Asking price is $60k, which I know is silly -- there are 2001 C4 cabs with less miles out there for that much -- but what is a reasonable number given the car and condition? Thanks ...

POST 2Original post

Definitely 2 much. for mid 60's u should be looking for 03's and low 60's for 02's.

POST 3Original post

That sounds extremly high you should probably be looking in the 45-55k range easily.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's a pretty big range ... I have them down to $53k, certified 2-year 100k warranty. How's that sound? More to go?

POST 5Original post

If 60's is your range, I would look for 02 car.

POST 6Original post

Here's a recent sale on ebay, sounds like your car. http://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ebaymotors/w...tem=2436489087 This price is low, but there are deals to be made out there. regards,

POST 7Original post

My 99 C2 coupe just sold for $46k, quick sale, I was told that I could get as much as $52k if I waited to wait for the "right" buyer.

POST 8Original post

I was looking in the spring at 99-00 C4 cabs before settling for an 03 c4 cab. Six months ago, I was finding lower mileage cars for mid 50s. These were not certified by porsche, but it was 6 months ago.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$52.5k is as low as they'll go, certified. The original window sticker was in excess of $101k, the car has leather everything, paint to sample, supple leather ... it's really loaded. But just out of reach for me, unfortunately ...

POST 10Original post

Rp911, all these paint to match stuff don't add anything to the resale value and dealer should not factor them in. I hope you continue to look and get what you want. Life is so short
