Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Its been a wonderful 8.5 years with this little black beauty, but its time to part with it given my kids no longer fit in the back and shes officially an antique that deserves a good home. Heres the listing . DM or post here with any questions.

POST 3Original post

Best of luck Mike! You have been a real asset here! Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Paul

POST 4Original post

Mike, good luck with the sale! Its a beautiful car. Hoping you get back into the 996 game in a few years when the kids are grown amd you dont need a back seat anymore. Also hope you stay on the forum. Appreciate all your contributions.

POST 5Original post

Sad to see you go, and depart with such a nice example of a 996... Are you sure you just can't buy a Cheyenne "S" to haul them kids around in ( and keep the 996) ???

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. Ill be back. There is no substitute, truly. There will be a 911 in my future, just not sure which one. If the wife test drives a Cayenne, then maybe we do that sooner than later. Regardless, Ill stay on the forum - its too much fun. It will be fun to watch what happens with the 996. I may have to pay double to get back into one if I wait too long.

POST 7Original post

Well dang it, I thought I was the only one with a full leather interior and base stereo! There goes my little sliver of exclusivity. GLWSbeautiful car.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, my son shed a tear when the new buyer drove away today. Thats a good sign - hes a car freak. And the 996 was our cute little car. The best part is that a 75 yr old woman bought it who used to be into aircooled 911s, went to BMW, and then now back into a 996. How cool is that. A manual was a requirement for her.
