Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just an idea, but wouldn't it make sense to differentiate the GT3 forum from the 996 forum? My premise would be that the desires of the 996 driver differ drastically from those of the GT3 driver. Also, I am tired of seeing all of this needless bashing and prattle. I use Rennlist as an information source, and I am kinda getting tired of the name-calling. I read the 996 turbo board when I want to learn/talk about 996 Turbos.... get my point? My two cents....

POST 2Original post

I think you have a super idea. They two should be seperate. Sean

POST 4Original post

Agree. Engines are different, people driving are different, so why not?

POST 5Original post

I agree and enough of the bashing. We're here to trade ideas and info on our cars not ridicule each other.

POST 6Original post

The separation of forums has been successful on at least one other board I frequent. And on that board we don't get these long diatribes about which is better, and apple or an orange. Karl

POST 7Original post

could that be funcarsonline? See lots of the same posts here and there- it is nice having separate forums for each at that site...

POST 8Original post

Why don't we make a poll and maybe John will hook us up?!

POST 9Original post

In my opinion, make it a separate board for GT1, GT2, GT3 and RS models. Ciao, Johannes E.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow! I didn't expect a change within 24 hours! I though it would be a long drawn out process.... your people meet with my people, we do lunch, etc. etc.. Well thanks! No we can listen to the GT3 purists talk about what we all really love - the GT3! (BTW- thanks to everyone else who posted on this thread!)

POST 11Original post

Thanks to whoever is responsible- couldn't believe it was done that fast either!

POST 12Original post

You can thank the almighty John D. for staying up all night for this.

POST 14Original post

Thanks guys.... It went on-line this AM after last evening of a programming session. For that - you folks are to thank - and Viken, who told me he'd support it once it was up. The truth be told, I was moving the first threads about 9 AM my time to try it out after last night, and all of a sudden - I noticed Viken was moving some over as well - so it appeared to work out (and Viken was up EARLY to assist...)... Anyway - my thanks to all of you.... Enjoy..... My best to all of you....

POST 15Original post

Thanks...! Although there's no GT3 forum listed in the subfiles navigation...

POST 16Original post

Help me out, where is this GT 3 forum (I can't find it), what am I missing? Thanks!

POST 17Original post

I think its a crap idea. You're just another 996 basher who hates stiff suspension, sunroofs, rear wipers and cup holders......... ...just kidding!!! Good idea, though the GT vs 996 threads were VERY amusing!!

POST 18Original post

I don't see it either, I suppose patience is in order, as John works through it. Ahhh... spoke to soon. At the bottom of the page go to "Forum Jump" and there it is! Bill

POST 19Original post

So is this goodbye to former 996 owners? Don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out? Not wanted anymore? Well I will still be around as the 996 was my first love. Regards.

POST 20Original post

I guess I'm the only one, but I only have time to check one board so I'm sorry to lose the GT3 posters from this board. They're almost all a weath of information with a long history in 996s so its sad to seem them go.
