Suggestion

Having said that, I'm picking up my '04 TT Coupe a week from today, and already know a few things that I'm going to have done (aesthetic only at this point, the performance already rocks!): BumperPlugs to paint the rear bumperettes to match body colour, replace the ashtray w/ the "non-smokers" kit (also painted by BumperPlugs), have my dealer paint the chin spoiler, side skirts and rear skirts to match body colour (I'm a little hesitant to do this right out of the chute, as I'm virtually guaranteed to spank my chin spoiler into some damn thing w/in the first couple of months!), buy and install a V1, get a set of Gemballa Competition 18" wheels, purchase a pair of message-less leather visors

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I wouldn't have it worked on as of yet, but surely once I reach atleast 2,000 miles I'd like to give it more flavor.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone, I just got my Carrera4S last week just about, and was wondering if any of you had any custom ideas for it. I wouldn't have it worked on as of yet, but surely once I reach atleast 2,000 miles I'd like to give it more flavor. Just for your information, it is guards/biege, red calipers, aluminum trim. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

the quick cheap one is clear side marker lights...if you're a non-smoker you can get the non-smoker kit....you could always change the rims...get some more body parts (aero-kits) from Gert at Carnewal....upgrade the stereo...

POST 3Original post

GT3 seats, Porsche roll cage, red Schroth 6 point harness, X74 suspension, Red Halon fire extinguisher, Kinesis wheels, R-compounds with aggressive tread pattern, straight bypass pipes, airbox....... I just thought you may want to go in a different direction .

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Okay. In your opinion, would you start with the exterior or the interior? I'd only get an exhaust system if anything for the engine, wouldn't want a blonde in control of a 500HP Carrera4S

POST 6Original post

All depends.. Interior mods - you (and the blonde) will pretty much be the only one who notice Exterior mods - everyone will notice There are not that many interior mods, considering you ordered your car with what you wanted (unless you go with Palting's advice)...looks like you have aluminum dials and other bits. You could paint your center console, you could replace the ashtray with a storage tray (non-smoker option). I assume you like your seats (or you would have ordered different ones), so no need to get new ones...You could do a custom stereo...you live in fla so you might want to tint the windows... Exterior, skies the limit, skirts, a wing, new rims/tires... If you want exhaust, I'd go with PSE. There are DIY links on this site (if you're into that kinda stuff). The porsche exhaust comes with a bypass switch so you won't wake up the neighbors.... Go to www.carnewal.com They have tons of porsche goodies Ext and Int, it'll give you prices too...

POST 7Original post

Brembo brakes, HRE rims, tint, V1 Radar, short shifter, exhaust, intake, ECU, Bride seats, etc.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im that blonde! Yes im a "chic" with a Porsche... Sounds good everything is basically standerd in the interior. Can you tell me about those "PSE" exhausts?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've heard of brembo. where would i find some, or would i need to have them ordered?

POST 10Original post

Hey Geneva, you just bought a beautiful new automobile assembled by the best."PORSCHE". Why spoil it with add ons then it won't be like a brand new baby anymore....just my opinion

POST 11Original post

Oh, well. If all you want to do is dress up the car, there are literally a lot of options. Aerokits with lowering springs would probably make the biggest impact, along with dressy wheels like Fikse's in 19". You can always ask. the posters here for pics of their dressed up cars. That's all the nudging they would need to post pics of their baby. PSE. There have been a lot of discussions on the Porsche Sport Exhaust. Search the archives, using key words PSE or Sport Exhaust. Here is one I started: PSE Brembo. Company that makes both OEM and aftermarket brakes, and can be found in almost all the performance shops listed in the Rennlist sponsors. BUT, the C4S stock brakes are already exceptional. More than you need for the street, and the red calipers lok awesome already. You would really have to go very high end Brembros to improve on them, and its an improvement that most likely will not be appreciated by anyone except the vendor. I wouldn't recommend it. HEY!!! Watch it! I'm a blond!!

POST 12Original post

Geneva, are you the one that bought the gray C4S from Porsche North Orlando? I just put my order in there from James... Ed

POST 13Original post

Nevermind, I didnt read your original post thoroughly... wow, it's been a long day! lol Ed

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

aww, im sorry palting. Im the blonde I was referring to, and im a female as well, which to most may not seem the ideal driver of a Porsche . Thanks for the information

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You are quite right. This will be for much later down the road when I want a Turbo, but cant afford it. Thanks!

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I dont like the techart wheels very much. But I see what you mean with how it would look. Thanks you Andreas

POST 20Original post

Geneva, Put a picture of your new baby out there, and a budget...I'm sure that people will offer up some more advice... Exhaust won't do anything on the performance end, it'll just make it sound better. There are several mfgrs that make aftermarket exhaust, but Porsche is the only one with a bypass, in case you find it too loud for all occasions. There are switches that go on the dash (replacing the 2 blanks to the left of the stereo/heater). See if you can hear PSE's in person before you buy them tho...I'm sure there are lots of willing souls in Fla willing to help out, unless your dealer has one on the lot with them. I would also have to agree with whoever said radar detector....especially since your car is red (cop magnet). There are some slick installs for the v1. A place called umniza.com sells a mirror with the V1 display etched in the glass you still have to buy the V1 itself. My bro has this in his ferrari...very cool looking...

POST 21Original post

Palting, Does anybody have a harness in Yellow? I don't want to stick red belts in my car and suddenly have the interior look like a McDonalds ad....

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That detector looks very useful, thanks for the advice.

POST 23Original post

I agree w/ MJones, drive the car for awhile before making any big $$-intensive decisions, particularly on the performance side. The bone stock C4S is an awesome ride. Having said that, I'm picking up my '04 TT Coupe a week from today, and already know a few things that I'm going to have done (aesthetic only at this point, the performance already rocks!): BumperPlugs to paint the rear bumperettes to match body colour, replace the ashtray w/ the "non-smokers" kit (also painted by BumperPlugs), have my dealer paint the chin spoiler, side skirts and rear skirts to match body colour (I'm a little hesitant to do this right out of the chute, as I'm virtually guaranteed to spank my chin spoiler into some damn thing w/in the first couple of months!), buy and install a V1, get a set of Gemballa Competition 18" wheels, purchase a pair of message-less leather visors from Gert to replace the silly airbag-labeled vinyl visors that come standard, and clear side marker lenses. There's a couple of minor CF changes that I'm going to make to the interior, not enough to tart the car up, but a subtle hint of CF looks purty nice. By the by, you have excellent taste in car body colour; mine's GR too! Gets you at least a few more available hp than the other colours!!! Jeff

POST 24Original post

Hey Andreas, what kind of wheels are those on the c4s picture which you attached? They look great.
