This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just put M030 springs on my 02 996 cab and the front dropped a little over a 1/2 inch while the rear did not drop at all?? What is the deal, when I put these springs on my 993 cab it dropped both ends??

POST 2Original post

Maybe it has to "settle" a bit after some spirited driving. Pls let me know 'cause I'm considering ROW M030 for my C4 Cab.

POST 4Original post

M030 lowers the car 20mm in the front and 10mm in the rear. The stock 996 looks like the front end is too high and lowering it more in the front makes it look better, IMO.

POST 5Original post

The actual expected drop with RoW M030 is 20mm+/-10 Front and 10mm+/-10 Rear. Therefore you may not see any drop at the rear and still be within specs. This was my experience as well, about 15mm front and 0-5mm rear.

POST 6Original post

If you just did it the gas shocks have not settled yet, they support some load when brand new. After a couple thousand miles the car will be noticeably lower at both ends. Pity I did not measure mine right away, but the change from right after installation is highly visible. FWIW the lower front is functional too, shifts the load center forward.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the feedback (this is my first time on Renn and it's great to have access to so many knowledgeable P-car enthusiasts). It sounds like I was misinformed about how far the M030's would drop the car. It has only been about 2 months and a couple hundred miles since install so maybe they will settle further. If not, I may explore other springs (H&R) that will drop it 20-30mm as I think that look is hard to beat.
