Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just spent two weeks in southern California. I did not see ONE P car! Where were all of you guys???? After reading all of your posts I figured that I would see a Porsche on every corner.
When I got back to the east coast I saw a 911 on my way home from the airport at 2am!
I was in San Diego.
I have to admit that I was shocked...two weeks...no P Cars.
I was back on the east coast for two days and saw a 911, a C2 Cab and a Cayanne!
Are you guys sure that there are really any P Cars in SoCal?????
By the way, it had been about 8 years since I've been in San Diego. The place has really improved a lot IMHO. That gaslamp district was a blast. What's the deal with the 2am curfew though?? It was ridiculous.
No one takes their P-cars to the Gaslamp district, there aren't good parkings around. The only good place to park in downtown is at the Convention center.

I was once driving down in Beverly Hills when I saw two 996's driving next to each other. When I pulled alongside there were three 996's driving down the street at the same time. Never thought I would see that. I see many boxsters, and a few 996's everyday where I live (Glendale, CA)
Most of the P cars in San Diego are in North County. I live in Carlsbad and usually venture as far south as La Jolla for dinners, and every blue moon will make it down to the Gaslamp. As RT7 mentions, since parking is not great downtown, I will leave the Pcar at home and take the beater bimmer. If you drive around La Jolla, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, you'll see many P cars each and every day.
Cheers from America's Finest City.
Every single day I see literally dozens of P-Cars. I would say on average 6 996s, 3-4 993s, a few older models, a dozen Boxsters, and at least 3 or 4 Cayennes.
Also, 1 or 2 Rolls Royces, 30-40 S500 Benz, 10 745s, 25 X5s, and - if I'm lucky - a Pinto or two.
SoCal is 'car heaven' - there's nowhere else on earth where people are judged more by the car that they drive than by the content of their character. That's the rule. Another rule?: Never trust any air that you can't see.
you've got to drive the Pacific Coast Hwy (PCH). everyone here knows there's no life east of the I-5 or 405 fwys (my apolgizes to our friends reading this who live east of I-5 & 405 fwys
).
While I spent my nights in the gaslamp district I was all over the town during the day...not ONE P Car!! I spent some time in Rancho Bernardo as well...still no P Cars.
I just took my car for a spin and breezed past a Boxter and later saw a Cayenne. Are you California guys sure that you ever take your cars out of the garage???
I'm in LA too, and a day doesn't go by without seeing at least a dozen 996's, the same number of Boxters, a Cayenne or two, and the odd 993 / 928 / 914.
I never see 968's or 944's - did they not sell well here?
I used to live in West London (my whole life until two years ago) which is expensive European car heaven - my commute was only 4 miles or so, and I remember counting 19 Ferrari's, >40 P cars, 5 Lambos, and a dozen TVRs on just one trip to work! (I had a TVR)
Simon
I just come back from a one week trip to Menlo Park/Palo Alto area.
I must have seen maybe 30 or so Carreras and at least double that Boxters. Strangely I only saw a few pre 996 porkers.
