Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there and good day!!! Has anyone used aftermarket GT3 kits ie FVD etc. and are there install issues. I know factory parts is the way to go but like to know if it's worth going the aftermarket route. Regards. Mike

POST 2Original post

Your better off going OEM, due to the fact aftermarket might be a little cheaper, your body shop will charge more to custom the aftermarket pieces to fit your car as they never fit perfectly or the pieces might need extra work for paint, etc. Stick OEM it might cost a little more, but much less of a headache.

POST 3Original post

If you are talking about the new 03' GT3 look for your car you will find that no such aftermarket kit currently exists. Although the factory 03' side skirts will fit fine, the factory front bumper cover will not, and no one is making an after market version. That 03' GT3 front would no doubt be a very big seller to folks like us so hopefully MA Shaw or Getty or someone like that will get it together soon and start putting one out. Its hard to understand why no one has jumped on this yet.

POST 4Original post

How come the Factory GT3 bumper won't fit our regular C2's? It's the same bodystyle and everything?

POST 5Original post

Itzkirb: 996FLT6 has a '99 C2 which has different headlights so the AeroKit II (which is the same body kit as the '04 GT3) front bumper isn't a direct bolt on.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know the 03 GT3 bodykit won't fit ie front spoiler due to different lite cluster. I was looking at the older GT3 kit for 99-01. Regards. Mike

POST 7Original post

Gert at www.carnewal-europe.com he has both aerokits and If you want to mix mach you could put the new rear spoiler on and then the old front GT3 bumper.
