Mystery to me: wondering if anyone has experienced this: -really hot day in the bay area, took the car for a 10 mile drive after a work-out (almost did not start at the gym, so I thought maybe the battery) -don't drive the car so often anymore (no more commute) -difficult to start, then just totally dead when turning ignition -thought it was the battery, mostly use the charger & check the battery fluid levels. Won't jumpstart when it was dead -fuses were fine -gas had run down to "15 miles to empty" - anybody watch that Seinfeld episode...... => after letting the car sit for a while it started without any problems. wondering if I should bring it to the shop and listen to the usual bit about how I need to spend another $1000 to inspect the fluids. totally freaky - Never had a car do this to me (even old student days bangers) -clogged fuel filter? -not enough gas in system (gas cap was tight) -only run on Chevron Supreme -mice in the engine? any advice, shared experiences. ta

Hi all! took the car for a long drive today.....everything runs fine as usual. temperamental car it seems. And I bought this car because my uncle had an old 911 that was bullet proof to 100K miles. my conclusion.... maybe I let the gas run down too far and caused a fault in the fuel line or electronics. Time will tell. ...I'll keep an eye on the ignition switch. Reading this message board lately reminds me of the viper boards that finally made me not want to buy that "dream car". Breakdowns, highway stalls after 200 miles, etc. etc.
