Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In addition I'm going for aluminum side and center vents (the vents only, black leather around the vents), aluminum faced PCM II, aluminum heater/ac module and aluminum cd holder (which I'll probably change for an aluminum shelf if I can find one).

The red stitching throughout the car looks great but could use a little help.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've decided to do a bit of red mods on the interior of my car. First thing I want to do is add red guages. I don't want to be garish but what do you think would be good to add to the mix. The red stitching throughout the car looks great but could use a little help. Too bad the leather gear shift cover stitching was not an option to do as well. It sticks out as "not" being red.
Any ideas and where to find?
I'm ordering a new C4S Cab - atlas grey on black leather. Like you, (Nacelle), I wanted some red interior highlights thinking I could pick up on the red elsewhere on the car - reflector band over the rear bumper as well as the brake calipers. I'm going with red gauges, and red seatbelts. In addition I'm going for aluminum side and center vents (the vents only, black leather around the vents), aluminum faced PCM II, aluminum heater/ac module and aluminum cd holder (which I'll probably change for an aluminum shelf if I can find one). I love the look of a single strip of aluminum color down the center of the interior. I could continue this look with an aluminum rear console (I think red would be too much) but I'm thinking carbon rear center console along with carbon door pulls.
Red leather stick and brake handles would be great - but I've got no idea where to find them.
Comments welcome!
Thanks you guys!
I thought about red belts when I ordered the car but sales guy talked me out of it. Wish that i had done it...will look into it again, not sure if its a big deal to retrofit.
I could do the center console in seal grey as well as seat backs but I do like the black interior. don't want to mix it up too much.
Eric, I will be getting my bumperettes done over the winter so will be in touch. also will get the door lock plug.
Jmac, I like what you are doing, The carbon rear center console and door pulls should look really good. Looking forward to seeing your car.
All in all, like Legodoom, I think do the guages and red belts would finish up the red accents nicely.
I ordered a new "S" in the C4S rear logo, painted it the same red color as the brake calipers, removed the original by sliding dental floss between the "S" and the body, and replaced it with the red one. I haven't mastered adding photos, here, but if you want to see how it stands out, PM me with an e-mail address. Looks great!
Nacelle, are you telling me that you can't get the shifter boot with red stitching? I have an extra one if you want to take it to a local upholstery shop and have them stitch it with red. As far as red seatbelts go, I know that it's a bit of a vanity item but I'd love them as well and plan to shop around for them this winter.
Shortshift: I don't have model designation on my car but I have seen one like you describe and it looks great...a nice touch!
Hey BostonMarkC in beantown: great looking car...what other "red" did you do in the interior?
Alon: Can't understand why Porsche would not do gear shifter boot in deviating color but N/A. Keep me in mind for the extra "boot". I will get to you on that later...
