What you show has a few more options than mine, so probably a realistic number.

Suggestion
It just doesn't make sense that Porsche would change their internal designation for options.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here is the Porsche certificate of authenticity for a car that I found. Would this really have a sticker price of $109K?
If the base price of a 99 coupe was about $70K....I just don't see what ads up $109K, I've seen a few window stickers on the 996's and never seen anything that was this high, I don't think I've seen ones greater than the 80's.
Thanks!
well, you did find this
post the OPTION CODES sticker, then pull the $$$ for each here:
https://admin.porschedealer.com/
P.S. Above site needs a log-in now to access but a member shared the link before and I was able to plug mine. Learned that my car stickered @ $86, 750.
I have the original window sticker for my '99 C4 w/ aero kit and it's $99,500.
What you show has a few more options than mine, so probably a realistic number.
Ours was around 103 or something. The Aerokit and HiFi stereo were expensive options (something around $15k for the pair if i remember correctly). The sport classics weren't cheap either. Just those 3 alone should break the $90k mark.
You should really go play with the configurator for the current 991 (or any Porsche). Almost no one buys a base car with no options and it is insanely easy to add 20-30k options before you know it.
You can start with a base Boxster and build a $100K plus car - so yeah, hitting that number isn't so hard when you're ticking boxes on the Porsche order form.
Mine was $68,030 with relatively few options. Luckily, they were decent choices made by the first owner. Leather Sport seats, traction control with ABD, on board computer. Very sparse option list. Base price was $65,030.
Sadly, could not get the link to accept my VIN. "this vehicle is not available"
Curious about the sticker on my 2000 Millennium Edition, that was stuffed with options.
What is the "on board computer" the MPG computer?
When I put the VIN in on this car, it came back as "not in database" also. Put some ebay cars in, some would work (cars that were 02's), but the few 99's and 00's would not show up.
Just sold the 968.....sad day, but that means I am on the hunt for a 911!
My 04 Targa was $90,005
Base price $76,000
Additional Equipment
249 Tiptronic S
342 Heated Front Seats
415 18" Turbo Look II Wheels
680 Bose High End Sound Package
692 Remote CD Changer (6 Disc)
A1 Black Top
AA Black Standard Leather
M6A Black Mats - Porsche lettering
P15 Power Seat Package
P74 Xenon Headlamp Package
X54 Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes
X76 Flared Rocker Panels
XSC Porsche Crest in Headrest
I don't see how you get there. On the AOL Autos page, you can still price out a car like it's 1999, and putting in these options, I get $93,775 as MSRP:
Base Price 65,030
Dark Blue Metallic Paint 3,010
Savannah Beige Leather 3,215
Radio 345
Porsche Crest in Headrest 208
Power Seat Package 1,520
HiFi Sound 600
Remote CD Changer 705
Wheel Caps with Colored Crest 170
OBC 275
Headlight Washers 225
Heated Front Seats 400
Leather Steering Wheel 1,511
Floor Mats 110
18" Wheels 2,656
AeroKit 8,715
Special Chassis 690
Xenon Headlights 1,070
Leather AB Pillars 1,378
Aluminum / Chrome Package 1,942
The $93,775 seems more like a number I can believe and get to. I really have no idea how Porsche got to the $109K sticker price.
Regardless, it looks like it is very nicely optioned. It could have leather on the center console, etc, but there isn't much more it could have.
I will be seeing the car Thursday.
It took me a while to figure it out.....just go into the URL of the link that was posted with the details on the 2002. Go up to your browser bar and in the URL address, change the VIN number to yours and hit enter. It might or might not be in the database, but as I said before, some that I found on ebay were, but the 99's and 00's that I tried were not.
If you hit back, it will bring you to the admin page, you don't go there, just change the VIN in the URL and hit enter.
Thanks for explaining. That was quite an interesting little exploration. My 11yr old C4S was over $91K. Quite a base price, as KrazyK said - lots of things thrown into those C4S models
The thing that I find odd about the COA is that some of the nomenclature is incorrect. 'Xenon' headlights were never an option on the 996; pre 2002 they were 'Litronic' and post 2002 they were bi-Xenon.
It also seems odd that the list doesn't call out packages, but lists the options independently (the aluminum/chrome package), and then lists packages (Aerokit) that were actually sold separately (F+R spoilers was one option, side skirts was another).
Also, I don't believe that the stiffer suspension option (030) was called "rigidly tuned" until the MKII cars. Earlier it was just the Sport Package, I think.
It just doesn't make sense that Porsche would change their internal designation for options.
Very cool.
My 2002 silver coupe was built in September 2001 and stickered at $73,885.
Base price was $67,900.
Not a lot of options
18" liteweight wheels with coloured crests: $1500
PSM: $1230
heated seats $415
floor mats: $115
That's all fine and well but what's the Technic package for $1930 ?
The arctic silver paint was free.
That site is wonky and not completely trustworthy.
I first saw it awhile ago in the Cayenne forum. My 2013 P!g was there, but the 01 996 wasn't. After awhile it showed up too, but to this day it shows as a Targa rather than the C4 that it actually is. A few of the prices were off too (we have the sticker).
It is funny to see a "Targa" build sheet with "Sunroof delete" though
