Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Considering buying a basic C2 with little options yet is it better to get a 03 on lot or 04's coming out next month... Dealers are pushing for ordering a 04 with mild discounting...any advice or comments....also does anyone know the % on options markup

POST 2Original post

The '04 has no changes from the '03 that I know of... I'd say get the prices with options you want then go for the less expensive.

POST 3Original post

Ditto - You can get fairly decent discounts buying the 03 that's on the lot right now ($7-$8k or even more). Spend the savings on upgrades later!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the great advice...i will start checking the inventory of dealers in the area... they seem to discount more if you call or have dealt with them priorly...also if the car is on the lot they will have to discount since most have sat for 6 to 9 months...alot of them have lots, lots of options i do not want though and drives the prices upward ie c2coupecarrera 88K loaded options and base invoice 59K wow!!!!! The options are very overpriced yet kbb and others say 25% markup Do you agree????

POST 5Original post

If 2003 and 2004 are the same... I recommend writing down exactly what you require; model, colors, and options and have your Porsche dealer search the total USA inventory for matches (both exact and those which have additional options). In addition send your car requirements sheet to some dealers and get $ quotes on ordering a 2004. With this specific 2003 and 2004 information you should be able to get the best car deal. Think of Porsche dealers as regional representatives and you need the total PCNA picture on this effort.
