Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So the wife and I just bought our first Porsche, a 911 Carrera Coupe. Driving it around has been a blast, but still taking it easy since it only has 47miles on it.
We live in the SF Bay Area and I we were wondering where are good place to get parts for the car. Like the clear side lights? Also, are there any gatherings or meets in the Bay Area?
BTW, this forum is the best!
Thanks in advance

Great prices and the people are great to deal with. Enjoy your new ride . . .
Of course there is PCA. There is also a Bay Area Boxster group, and sometimes Loren and some other local 996 owners join us for drives or to work on cars. Jeff

Congrats to you to!
We got our from the Fremont Auto Mall, Claridges. John the sales person was really friendly and helpful. Since it was our first Porsche we thought we'd feel a little intimidated, but John made us feel comfortable.
I'm having X-Pel Clear Bra put on tomorrow. Woohooo, More money out the window!!!

They did an excellent job, answered all my questions and they even come to your house to install it. If I were to get another car I'd have it done again, in fact I wish I had it done on my other (older) cars.
100% Satisfied
I've just received two quotes - $1095, full frontal kit, 2 hours install, haven't done a 911 yet. Done in the shop
$510 - full frontal install - have done 911, takes 4-5 hours - will do on-site (ie my garage). Looks like #2 is more reasonable. Thoughts?
There is no way it can be done it 2hr or at least done well. It took about 5.5 hours to do my 911 and they've done tons of them. It's funny we were talking about those shops that promise 2hr service. I'd stay clear of the 2hr place especially since they haven't done a 911 yet.
I'd got with option #2
I got mine at Stevens Creek. They had a lot of inventory. On a 81K list they took of $8500. I needed silver and I wanted the sports exhuast.
They are dealing down there if anyone is looking. Thanks for the clear bra. Does he use 3M product? How much did it cost and how much coverage did you get?
Thanks-
Yes, they use 3M and it cost me around $800. I got full front coverage. Hood, Fenders, Bumper, side mirrors.
I am quite happy with the job they did. Under flourecent lighting it was easy to see the Clear Bra, but when I finally got to see it this afternoon in the sun, you couldn't even notice it. In fact I stopped by the dealers again to have something checked and he didn't notice it until I told him. haha
