Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I may have to hold out for that used set option as I just visited the Ruf Dallas website and they are posted as a wheel they currently retail anymore...
If anybody knows where I can find a set (new or used) I am an eager buyer!
TIA
Wheels are a personal choice but have to agree with OP, love these wheels. Doesn't seem that RUF is or ever was too interested in selling them you can never find anything online about them or how to order. Did make note above that someone thought they were discontinued.
WOOOOOE!!! I take that back- unless that is a misprint on their website, these are more expensive than the Ruf Wheels at $1250 a copy ($5000 for a set of four)!

Well, if you go for the cast wheels instead of the forged, you'll save about a thousand dollars per wheel. The 18" cast ones are $280-320 depending on the width.
Wow, dem painted shoes on dat whip look phat, son. I'ms gonna grab me a set a those off eBay next time they come up. Look'n flossy, yo... pacifically wif da white center caps! Only thing das left to do is a knock in da back and some hydraulics. Then dat whip would be on da cova of West Coast Customs Magazine, yo!
Don't take it personal, that's why there's more than one flavor or ice cream... but I gotta ask, what were you thinking?
I run cast 19" Rotiform NUEs on my daily ('00 VW Passat wagon). Great wheels for the price. However, the largest cast versions are only 19x8.5", so for a proper Porsche fitment, you'd have to move up to the forged versions, which you can get in any size/width/offset your heart desires, but they are considerably more expensive that cast wheels. You get what you pay for, though.
I also have a custom built set of Rotiform forged wheels on my C4S (this model is called the TMB):
Are custom built forged wheels expensive comnpared to cast wheels? Yes. But, they are expensive to buy because they're expensive to make. Also for your money, you get wheels that fit YOUR car exactly the way YOU want. I had very specific sizes/offsets in mind for my wheels and you can barely slide a credit card between my fenders and tires, but I get zero rubbing and I didn't need spacers to get the wheels sitting where I want them to.
Alright, alright, you have a point, different strokes for different folks... I didn't mean to be rude and hurt anyone's feelings. Just a bit of Tom Foolery.
I just did a quick google search and found several sets of these cast Ruff wheels available in the $3500-3800 price range. All were 19" by 8.5 and 10 inch which will work on a 996. Suggest you use the 5MM spacer/bolt set you can also find at several retailers.
I bought my 18" Ruff wheels from a Canadian retailer 7 years ago when the US dollar was strong, but I cannot find him on the WEB now.
ok, tried everything, but can't seem to do anything but make more posts... if an administrator could delete all my posts on this thread, it would be appreciated. I realize that my tastes are different than others. Sorry
Not my cup of it, looks like the CNC machine was at the half way point of the program when the rim was pulled out. But if you like them, go for it, of corse
There are so many beautiful wheels to chose from and it just depends on your budget. I favor the Fikse FM10s, and my second choice are the Tech Arts, sadly they are both out of my price range
. I currently have a set of Tech Art knock offs
.
Been waiting a long time to start this, these Techarts should be stunning
Test fitted this today and while all the wheels are prepped for paint, now the search for a
very close match to GT silver starts...Wurth?

finally got these on!, I did light refinish of some curb rash and resprayed
with Wurth...a new set of caps
not completely crazy about the tires (came with the wheels) but plenty of tread left for the summer
I had to order 57mm lug bolts for the rear as the hub is much larger than the lightweights that were previously on
also, I forgot to weigh them, but it seemed to be about the same
Those were very nice Glenarius
I also have 997 rims, 18" Carrera 2 I think they are called. Very easy to clean.
How is the ride on your 19" rims, very much rougher that 18"? I have been thinking about moving to 19" but the cobblestone roads in Bergen are making me think twice.
E88 or TE37. They are the best on a 996.... or anything els and not a question. Unless... we going to stance town, in that case we could add some Work's to the list.
Sorry everyone else.
Thank you for including the Works guys! Soooo I inquired about a set of Desmond Regamaster EvoII and ICBmotorsports responded to the inquiry email with "contact us again in 2-3 weeks". Is that good? I have no idea but we'll see in 2-3 weeks... they build 5x130 in 19"s but not 18s. If they say yes... I'll see about prices. Think those wheels will look really really nice on our NB 996s.
I think BBS E88s will always be at the top of my list. Especially on .2 cars. That being said, I'm still partial to Fikse wheels. Good racing history and era correct designs. I have a set of FM5s, FM10s, and Profil 13s. Below are the profil 13s on my car. I'm considering swapping them out for Forgeline GA3rs with gold faces. The Profil 13s are hard to part with though. They look so good in motion.
Depending on car color and stance, but my faves, in no rank order (forgive me not picking just one):
1. Carrera II for nb…simple, light and strong…hard to not love and easy to clean
2. GT3 18s for duh GT3…just so right for the legend
3. Formula, TE37, E88 never look wrong on a 996
4. Turbo, C4S hollow twists are just awesome for period look and weight on wb
5. Ruf on a Ruf
…and I’m still around Chunk.
Sorry to drag up an old-ish thread, but did ICB ever get back to you? A set of 18-inch gunmetal or bronze Regamasters on my Arctic Silver 996.2 C2 would be the ultimate. 17s would be fine, but I don't know if the 964/993 fitment they offer would work.
You can just leave the stock spoiler raised. GT 2 deck lid is beautiful. There are electric kits for 2, 3 and 4” rise. May want to try the Turbo section for more. Probably get more replies than the NA wheel thread.
As a fellow turbo owner. Please dont lock the stock spoiler up. It looks silly. Definitely get a new decklid with a permanent spoiler on it. I had this one on my n/a 996.
Pay no attention to the socks and sandals lol.
