Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also just read a rumor on rennteam that 3 GT3's were tested by EPA at random and all 3 had failed.

Suggestion
I speculate the first run of NA GT3s weren't made to the correct specs, so there's a big delay as they scrambble to fix 'em; dealers are pissed.

Suggestion
If that's the case, I suspect it will set back production and delivery times back for quite some time.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

On Rennteam they are saying there are 14 in the US but will not release them until there are 30 so the top 30 dealers can get a car at the same time.

From what I've been told by the dealers is the reason they are holding back delivries is to release at the GT3's at the same time is because Porsche wants to build up the hype for the last build cycles of the 996.
They did this with the turbos and started to over produce. Let the production over runs kill the market.
Don't be surprised if this happens.

Who knows the truth?
It's called "slight of hand", and Porsche is using it very effectively. On one hand they're talking EPA certification and on the other, top 30 dealer appeasement; somewhere between these two lies the truth.
I speculate the first run of NA GT3s weren't made to the correct specs, so there's a big delay as they scrambble to fix 'em; dealers are pissed. The top 30 dealers are then demanding their cars be "fixed" first.
So much mystery and Porsche plays the game well.
My friend is a salesman at my local dealer and I have told him that people in Germany have seen the the turbo cab in production and on the street - the car that does not exist. Then I sent him the 4 pictures outside Werks 1 of the of 2 turbo cabs, and an alleged order guide. He has been selling Porsche cars for a dozen years and the sales people are kept in the dark until Porsche is ready.
He then showed me their message board on the PCNA site. The sales people ask the same questions we do on their own message board. PCNA keeps them in the dark until Porsche is ready. Jeff
This whole thing really sux. I have a car as I mentioned at port, for sticker, still available that I could have, but I am not doing it untill I know it is going to be released from port. As I mentioned I am only 17, and I don't have multiple cars that I can drive while I wait on the GT3 so I need to know its going to be released
. Porsche is really pissing me off, I may not know if it is their fault that the cars are delayed, but it is their fault for not publically telling every1 what the heck is going on!!! <img border="0" alt="[icon501]" title="" src="graemlins/icon501.gif" /> I don't know, I just really wish they would be released!!!
