That said, JMac if you have another car as your main car and it's really slow, drive that for a while and it will reset your senses a bit.

I went with my friend to a Lambo dealership and he wanted to test drive a Murcielago.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've had my C4 Cab for 3 years now, and I've just ordered a replacement C4S Cab. My buddy wanted to try my cab out for the sunny weekend, so he swapped with me - I got his Twin Turbo.
OH - MY - GAWD. I'm addicted to it, I can't believe how much faster it is than my Cab. I can't believe how much more solid the chassis is than the cab - it feels like it was carved out of a single piece of absolutium! I don't think I can go back. What do I do now? The TT Cab is the obvious answer, but the difference in price is huge!. Let this be a warning: If a friend throws you the keys to a TT - throw them back at him, or you'll be seeking professional help like me.
i hear you. i traded in my 01 c4 for an 03 tt, which i have had since jan. there is a huge difference in performance and feel. i personally wouldn't trade the c4 for the c4s. same engine/drivetrain but turbo body. you would be amazed what a good deal that you could get in leasing an 03 tt.
I went with my friend to a Lambo dealership and he wanted to test drive a Murcielago. So we got there and he went with the dealer for a spin. When they came back they both insisted that I give it a try and I kindly declined. I knew if I drove that car my C2 would feel...slow, very slow.

Whenever I feel like my car is slow, I just relieve it from daily duty for a little while and drive my beater...a 1986 toyota camry with 150k miles. If there's anything that'll make you appreciate a Porsche its that!!
Jmac, what did your friend thing of the C4 cab?
Tell your friend he owes you the difference in price from the Cab to the TT. Follow that comment with "gee thanks"!
Have fun whatever car you end up with. Bet ya $10 you'll find a way to get a TT.....
Your're exactly right, DO NOT test drive a TT, there is no cure for the "infection". I drove a buddys 996TT tip a few months ago, I still can't get it out of my head. I will HAVE to get one...That's the first step, admit you have the problem...hehe.
Adrial - my friend loved the cab. He called me earlier today while he was cruising down Toronto's Queen street with the roof down - loving it. And that's my problem, I really want another cab. My other car is a Mercedes S55 and it's lease is up in another year - so I'm thinking E55 as a replacement (maybe I should go TT cab + a Honda Accord?????)
Chris W - you might make your $10.
Jim
I know that feeling all too well... Early in 2002, I was at a Porsche/Audi dealer because my friend was buying an S4. Whilst I was waiting around, one of the sales guys chucked me the keys to a black TT and insisted I drive it. Needless to say that car is mine. Doh!

I Feel that i can manage to get a TT, by trading with my C4cab but when i think seriously of it its really a huge amount ill be adding which almost can get me another new car over my current C4 ...

The Porsche cabs are solid, yes, but the coupe is more so. The best way to find out if you really want it would be to test drive the turbo cab and coupe back to back. If and when the turbo cab comes. Or you can test drive a C4S coupe

Hey, Sharkster. What's a chiptronic?
Oh it's a modded/chipped tiptronic
