Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
But there is no economic sense in trading in a concours-clean car after 3-5 years.
Leading evidence: 'Clean car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Perish the thought but one must occasionally face the reality that he or she does not have a fleet of vehicles and must drive through the white stuff. Is the c4 up to the task?
With the proper tires YES . . .I drove mine through snow this past winter one day with the summer 18" performance tires and it was scary but I made it. Definitely invest in all seasons or snow tires if you are going to attempt it.
Fleet of vehicles....
Your life should have been your first consideration, then your lifelong dream of owning a Porsche.....
Buy an cheap used Jeep and leave the C4 in the garage where really belows in the wintertime.
I plan on driving my P-car through Alaska's winter. Others who have done the same say they handle great with snow tires, but they're deadly without. Also, 17" wheels are preferable.
I'd much rather enjoy the P-Car year round then have it sitting around while driving a boring car for 6 months.
If you plan to keep the car as a collectable, then don't drive in the winter. But there is no economic sense in trading in a concours-clean car after 3-5 years. It won't command much money over a near-perfect one.
Nothing could be more tedious and boring, abet interrupted with moments of shear terror, than driving a C4 around on ice and snow covered roads in the wintertime.
NOT FUN!!
May be some of you have already seen this video, it's a Carrera 2 driving on a track covered with snow & ice. You have to watch the video to believe it. He's easily doing 50 mph and taking corners with the back out. It's really impressive. I can't even see an SUV doing this. Granted this driver is amazing but nontheless the car is capable of it, remember this is a C2 not a C4.

Just a note there is a couple of minutes of GT3 action at the begining of the Video...It's pretty big 60MB.

I drive my ttX50 thru the snow- up to about 4". We get a fair amount of it where I live in the Indiana Dunes. I had no trouble on the original Pirelli's, despite all the dire warnings posted. The greater problem in falling snow is the litronic lights. The falling snow flakes create a blinding reflection.
Just to emphasize the point, I couldn't drive my 90 C2 on summer Bridgestones thru any snow-zero grip. I can't drive my BMW 850 CSI on its Z_rated Goodyears for the same reason. I used to have a 1980 SC that was great on the old P-7's in snow. My tt was absolutely tame in slush, snow, and intermittant icy patches. I previously had a 91C4 that I drove on M/S Dunlops in the snow- it was absolutely fabulous. I guess the discrepancy in opinions is that on summer tires, the tt is good in snow-not great. On 4 snows, it will be great. AS
