Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I don't know how to test on a coupe but on my cab, if I leave the hood down and lock the doors withe the key fob, this inializes the alarm.
Leading evidence: 'Test on a coupe' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test on a coupe' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

You better get it fixed or you'll be "cruisin' for a bruisin'".
Haven't had a chance to get the car to the dealer yet, but has anyone else experienced problems with the horn? Heres whats happening:
Car is a Jan 98 build.
Couple of days ago, pulling out of a gas station, was on a steep downhill ramp waiting for a gap in traffic - horn came on for about 20 seconds, went off for about a second, came on for another 10 seconds or so, then "flickered" on/off until there was a gap in traffic and I could pull out (like it was switching on/off at random several times a second).
Yesterday, driving down the ramp out of the parking lot where I work, every time I went over a speed bump, the horn beeped.
It seems to only occur downhill.
Sounds like a loose connection! That or your car is possessed. Maybe ask Loren for the wiring diag of the horn, or get an old priest and young priest....
He is right, sounds like something is loose. You better get it fixed or you'll be "cruisin' for a bruisin'". Stay away from truckers and the like! I'm laughing about all the situations you could get into over this!
Could be failed "springs" due to deteriorated rubber. This allows the pressure plate to sag and activate/ground the horn. See my fix, and more discussion on the boxster site:

Yet another Euro-better-than-US thing.
The Germans must think we are all cry babies waiting to sue for the slightest thing!
My compilation so far:
-No GT2-3 (rectified recently)
-No lowered suspension (ROW is lower than US)
-No key fob operated convertible top (we're all imbeciles and are going to kill each other with it)
-No dealer not allowed to show you how to install your baby seat, even when you buy the seat and dealer installed airbag deactivator (dealer could only show me where to plug the deactivating buckle)
and now:
-No horn beeping with alarm
I'm going to sue!

It says in the manual it only beeps if theres something wrong-the fault in ours is thqat the drivers window does not goe down when you open the door.
Yes mine does that too. I get that sort of thing if I leave the center console unlocked with the hood (sorry, cab cover) down.
But I am talking alarm. I don't know how to test on a coupe but on my cab, if I leave the hood down and lock the doors withe the key fob, this inializes the alarm. Then if you lean into the car, the infra-red detectors get you and the alarm goes. The horn goes on and off and the lights flash too.
One more thing to add to your list Leon, as far as I know you don't get a headlamp adjustment wheel/thang on the dash.
