Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

AOS was tested via manometer at 4.53 so that is fine for now.
Leading evidence: 'Test via manometer at 4.53 so' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check deviations' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Did you check the deviations after a good drive to fully warm up the engine?

I have a Foxwell NT710 and it uses Porsche terminology.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I promise I did the googling of this but I cant seem to find the answer or understand the answer.
trying to look at fuel trims on the fox well nt510 elite. Im in the live scan section and cant find anything titled long or short term fuel trim. Is it called something else?
thx!

Your Foxwell device will probably be similar.

Theres three data values on each bank that you should be viewing. I think its RKAT, FRA, and another one (whose name escapes me right now). They ought to be grouped together, so that last one will be nearby above or below in the data list.
If I had to guess, the third entry was titled something like oxygen sensing or similarly.
No problem. Theres also this video by LN Engineering featuring Tony Callas which really helped me understand how Porsche deals with fuel trims.

[QUOTE=996love;20170579]understand how Porsche deals with fuel trims gives me horrible flashbacks of tuning the Manifold Pressure Sensor on a 914 with DJET fuel injection 😂😂🤢

AOS was tested via manometer at 4.53 so that is fine for now. Add to this that I’m in the very early stages of light scoring in Cyl 6.
I think I can stave off the bore scoring for quite a long time so at this point I think my most pressing concern is going to be the cam pads with deviation around 8 on position 1. I can do the job at home and will pull the car off the road this fall for a chunk of time to complete this. I swear the more I dig into things the more I
don’t
want to know!
Did you check the deviations after a good drive to fully warm up the engine? Have you been seeing any plastic bits in your oil filter media during changes?
Yeah, that camshaft deviation isnt looking good.
And although your Bank 1 RKAT is rich, its only trimming away one percent, which is an acceptable value. Plus, its on Bank 1 - the side less susceptible to borescoring.
I just watched the PCA and Jake Raby video on the cam shaft pad job. initially it seemed beyond overwhelming but the video does an amazing job and while I still slightly dread the task I do believe after watching that its totally doable in my garage. 1 year into 996 life and Im really starting to realize what Jake and everyone has done for this car and the community. I am very appreciative!
