This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Therefore, I would question why the manufacturer would make a production run of Ruf pedals and then a second run that are chromed with different number of rubber nubs.
Leading evidence: 'most expensive tho' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'most expensive tho' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Run of ruf pedals' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Plan a good two hours to do it and make sure that the foot rest is flush to avoid your shoe from hanging onto the edge when you use the clutch!
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does the techart have any rubber inserts like the Ruf's? If not I do have to say the stock rubber ones are better under wet conditions versus an all medal pedal(slipping and sliding) so the Ruf is a better choice IMO with the rubber inserts. Regards and good luck. Mike
RUF Pedals are definitely the way to go. I bought them from Weissach, installed them myself. Plan a good two hours to do it and make sure that the foot rest is flush to avoid your shoe from hanging onto the edge when you use the clutch!
paneraiwatches,
I just hung up with By Design, they told me it would take 2months+ to get the pedals, said they "got in trouble" before promising speedy delivery on RUFs
dpblessing,
Where did you get your pedals from? Is that price for a Tip or 6sp?
I found a guy that says he has the RUFs, but he wants $575 for all 4 pedals (for 6sp)should I go for it? Is anybody else interested?
There have also been questions on which way the "angle" on the RUF pedals face..to the inside or to the outside. I've seen pics of both ways in RUF ads????
Leon, I just ordered a set of all 4 pedals for a 6-spd from RUF's NA distributor - Weissach Performance. They have them in stock for $500 + $25 for shipping and handling. You can call them at [phone removed] or go to their website at www.weissach.com
You can't order from the site, so save your time and call them.
Karl
dpblessing,
Thanks, I called and ordered the 4 piece kit, will install on friday.

There is a guy on ebay that has ruf style pedals in Chrome or Brushed aluminum. Claims they are designed and manufactured for ruf. Just doesn't have the ruf logo. He's charging $325 for Gas, brake, clutch and dead pedal in the brushed aluminum. Takes 10 days.

they certainly "look" correct.
I am not sure that chrome would look so good after a while though. The normal brushed seems to wear reasonably well. 325 would be a great price. If he is for real, I may have to buy a set as a "back-up"

RUF's are the best looking in my opinion...

Wilam, I pulled up a picture of the RUF pedal and the ones on EBAY. They rubber nubs appear to be the EXACT configuration as the RUF gas pedal. They both have 29 rubber nubs on them. The GAs and clutch also look idetical to the RUF. I see no difference what's so ever.

The Ruf gas pedal which Don shows in the post are clearly different than the chrome ones. However, Ruf does seem to make and identical one (see Kevein's post) to the chrome ones being offered on eBay.

Thanks for the advise, I'll keep the old rubber one in a closet somewhere.

I have a set of RUFS too. build dates on mine were 1-03 for dead pedal and 2-03 for the rest (see pic in signature). Only accelerator has RUF on it!!
I had Techart pedals on my 01 TT - they did not have rubber on them!! (might see them in one of the pics of 01TT)

David in LA,
I didn't even tryto use the PCA coupon as I am also having PSE installed (saved it for that) But they are a Porsche dealership and should honor the coupon with no problem.
Coupon is not good for pedals, must be original Porsche parts only meaning Tequipment items and clothes are also included, but not third party items like RUF or Techart pedals. That's what Suncoast told me anyway.
