in spite of the fact that there was no indication of any damage either to the rim or the exterior of the tire, the manager of the ntb dealer stated that this problem was caused by hitting a pothole.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

they haven't even bothered to return my phone call in 2 weeks with 4 separate messages. can anyone suggest a contact at porsche to help me deal with these bastards?

POST 2Original post

Have you tried an authorized Pirelli dealer in your area? I don't know but they may be willing to handle a warranty swap for you.

POST 3Original post

Didn't we have this conversation a couple weeks ago? Pirelli is just going to tell you to take it to an authorized Pirelli dealer and ask for a "warranty inspection". If you are not satisfied with that, then try to call Mike McMain at PCNA. He is the head honcho of customer commitment. I am not sure what exactly he would do if it is a Pirelli problem, but if anyone at Porsche can fix a customer service problem, it is him. He can be reached at 1-800-PORSCHE. Wait until it is done asking about Roadside assistance, then select customer service, or find an operator, and ask for him by name. Do not settle for a regular customer service rep - insist on talking ONLY to him.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

viken- i started by taking my defective 210 winter sport tire with a sidewall bleb to a local pirelli dealer(ntb). they took off the tire and found rubber split on the sidewall inside causing the bleb. in spite of the fact that there was no indication of any damage either to the rim or the exterior of the tire, the manager of the ntb dealer stated that this problem was caused by hitting a pothole. he called pirelli who replied 4 d later that they would issue a 50% credit since the tire was nearly new. the next day it was discovered that pirelli no longer makes winter sport 210's! i have been trying to reach pirelli warranty service myself to see what kind of allowance they will make for the fact that i have 4 nearly new 210 winter sports that are now worthless. they simply will not respond to any of my voice mail messages over the last two weeks. any suggestions?

POST 5Original post

Obviously, you bought these winter tires from a Pirelli reseller. If that is the case, you need to deal with them and come to an agreement for a replacement. I am sorry I don't know what else to suggest short of you locating a leftover tire somewhere in the country and buying it.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks viken i'm sure you're right. i purchased the tires from another pca member who decided not to drive his turbo in the winter. the tires were nearly new--maybe 200 mi. i was a fool to trust the pirelli name. it won't happen to me again. pirelli sucks
