Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

This looks like it could be a good deal if it has a good running M96 with no issues, located in a relatively isolated smallish mountian town

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Used 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 in Hickory, NC - Mountain Mitsubishi This looks like it could be a good deal if it has a good running M96 with no issues, located in a relatively isolated smallish mountian town

POST 2Original post

Unique color, throttle cable, and the price it right. The car looks to have been well maintained but more pics, especially the build label, and any service records are helpful.

POST 3Original post

Have someone who knows these cars have a look at it.

POST 4Original post

At least the headlights, side markers, and wheels have been swapped out, which means it was owned by someone who was at least some kind of enthusiast. Which makes me question how it ended up at a rural Mitsubishi dealership, and makes me nervous personally. Get a thorough inspection with borescope done - NO exceptions. Otherwise seems like a nice car, LOVE the color combo.

Make 100 % sure it's not a flood car . PPI by an Indy you trust will go a long ways to weed out good from bad .

Yep, now shows a 2002 Carrera. VIN WP0CA299X2S653093 shows 'no record found' for IMS replacement on the ' IMS Retrofit Check ' site.

Oh, forget about it then! 😏 I cant believe that a throttle cable is actually a reason that someone would give as a reason to buy a car no wonder I rarely check in here

Throttle cable envy is the reason you rarely check in here? Understandable I can spend hours in the garage just admiring my cable throttle. Pop open the rear hatch and gaze at its majesty. Imagining how uninspiring and disconnected it must feel to drive a 996 with E-gas.
