Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had the Bilstein PSS9 and GT3 sway bars on my MY2000 996 (see avatar) for about 50 days now but I wasn't fully happy because my car made horrible noises that were coming (partly) from the drop links (DL). I explained that to Gert, took lots of pictures and measurements and he modified a set of factory DL for me. I have 2 comments: 1) I am sooo happy that I do not have to mess with these darn "adjustable" DL anymore and that a "nearly" standard one does the job JUST fine 2) Gert's DL weight half of my previous ones (TRG) Gert's DL fit each and every hole of the GT3 bar with no effort at all. I have taken lots of pictures for those interested. The factory rears work straight from the factory (the existing ones on the car) and now that Gert knows how to make the front, I think that we have a great package for the 996ers who want the PSS9 package - which is outstanding! Pretty neat. I wonder how much the diameter as well as that nice rubber cover come into play-hehe. The trg's do look nice though. I wonder if there is more range of angle on gerts v. the trg rod ends, and if that would contribute also. Nice setup btw-
