Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Those are factory pieces but it seemed like quite a few were dealer installed options after it left the factory as it had luke warm reception from the consumers.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The plan is to fly to DC , my wife and I , to pick up a C 4 2001. and drive back to central west Fl. via the Blue Ridge Pkwy.
This will take place on the 18th of this month. Will be taking with me a few relays, as back up, and spare belt. Coming back with a full car , with spares and extras, from previous owners.
Here is a pic of my future "new" baby !!!
Shall get more pics during drive south.
Congrats and the drive back should be exciting and fun. Don't let KK talk you into bringing a tool set and changing out the IMS before you drive it back.
That is one very nice looking car - gotta love the Mk1 aeros. Are the aero pieces on the lower rear bumper factory or add ons?
Enjoy the trip. I did a fly out - drive home 2 years ago with my son to pick up his new (to him) 951, and we still talk about that trip. It's a great time to stop by an auto museum or two along the way since you'll be in enthusiast mode. Here's a good one right on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley, NC:

Congrats on your purchase. Remember to stay of the interstates if possible (unless your trying to make time) and enjoy the drive. Pictures are a must
We do offer a few different options for drive belts. For more information

To the casual observer, I do admit that they do look like add-ons as it doesn't seem to integrate and flow the best it can.
I got mine after the fact to install merely to balance out the rear since I didn't want to go aftermarket and wanted to stay period correct OEM.
That's exciting. Nice to hear you and your wife are going to pick up a great looking Porsche, and make a great way to bond with your new 911. Have fun and post your progress.
Thank you,
We had done the NC section of the B. R. Pkwy in our now sold 84 Carrera, a few years ago.
Super drive !!
I am looking forward to it !!! the adrenaline is building up !! (:
Awesome!
To be honest, the BRP can get boringly slow after a while. Everyone knows the Tail of the Dragon, but there are a few other less-known, amazing roads along that route.
Check out:
VA 16 - The Back of the Dragon

NC 226A - The Diamondback

The restaurant at Little Switzerland is worth that drive alone!
And my favorite, and a real secret - doesn't even have a name:
NC 151 just south of Asheville (seriously - this is the most fun I have ever had in a car, almost)
There are a few others that don't come immediately to mind. Have a great time!
Oh, we know about it all right
Also NC176 between tryon and saluda (also just south of Ashville) ... shorter than tail of the dragon but more or less the same drive with virtually no traffic.
I have the same exact kit minus the rear flaps but plus the taco wing. Looks very nice! Let me know if there any extra or spare parts your trying to get rid of or something. Enjoy the car !
Thanks to you ALL for your nice comments & suggestions.
This is to be a very short vacation, and a relaxed drive !!
But I don't think so , not when driving a Porsche, I can't stop the ADRENALINE RUSH !!
It has already started!
and the pick up is on the 18th.
Via the BRPW, woth the new, C$ 2001 w/ Aero Kit.
We left Springfield Va, after arriving a few min after 9am , packed what we could take with us.
Made it to Roanoak , Va. that late pm. by 7.
The following am I see the rear L tire is rather low , 17lbs to be exact luck for us there was a Jiffy lube which had air , then 1/2 mile to a Firestone to fix the flat a 3 in. nail, he recomended 36 all around which i thought was no correct , but off we went., afetr my wife had a short stop at the JCP's, it was almost noon then.
We drove on to Little Switzerland, there where having a Jaguar w/e , got the last room!! it was around 6 30 pm
next day left around 10am , and after 13 + hrs we got home, had to pick up car at airport(Tampa)
Very long day , but a super drive!! I like my "new" C $
One of you who has a similar car , I need to know where to stick on the C 4 logo. how many inches from the lower edge of the trunk lid? and how far is the C from the lL and the 4 from the R side? Have the A Kit so its location is a bit lower than the C2 I think.
Just saw that these pics are BIG sorry about that.
Taking the car this week to my P Ind. for a good check out , and repl. of fluids , break and diff. adjust the hand break , and after purchase check up.
What do I need to do to be able to add more pics? its not alowing me to post more pics !!
I wanted to post some on the 996 pics only , and could NOT do it WHY is that ?
thanks ,
P
By the way taking another road trip to NC , for the BRBS in Little Switzerland , any one going there this year ? end of may.
