Hi all, congratulations for this f�rum, its my first post!! I have to rebuild my motor on my carrera C4 2000 and my crankshaft is one of the main parts that I have to change. As you may know this car mounts two types, one is sigle row chain and the other (shorter) is doubl� row chain, but identical.I only find the short one with good prices (used) and my question is: do you have any experience in adapting this crackshaft to the same engine? thanks!

The crankshaft to IMS chain drive gear design was changed in 2001 for improved strength & quieter operation. If you change to the 2001 design crank you have to get a matching IMS & chain. Make sure you have any crankshaft magnafluxed before installing.
