I'm 30, single, clean driving record (knock on wood) and my quote for a 996 was USD$1065 annually (actually cheaper than my M3!).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

36 years old - married - 4 years no claim - Pcar 996 C4S - 2002 - 11,000 KM - NO dealer repair.
Bought it brand new value was 79,000 US$ paid last year 5,600 US$ for full insurance.
Today, estimated value of the car is 62,500 US$ and they are asking 4,900 US$
is this a fair price in the other part of the world???
Checked in Sweden for a new 996 C4, am almost 30, never had a crash on the road. Cheapest I could find was 2650 USD for a year and the insurance "with everything on it".
If it was more, I'd be concerned.

30, '01 C2, limited to 7500 miles/year, no collision, $600/yr/ allstate. No collision means that if I hit someone else and its my fault, then I'd have to pony up to fix my own car.
I'm 23 and my full-coverage US$1000 deductible policy is a bit less than US$3000 per year. It sounds like Fadz has a pretty raw deal in Dubai.

39 yo w/No tickets, no accidents (knock wood)...State Farm in Washington State charges me $1650/year with a $500 deductable and full coverage. That is up $210 from last year because of a mild increase by State Farm in this region.
One thing i forgot to tell you guys, and 10% deductable <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />
Chicago996 - don't you think it's a bit risky to buy the third party liability coz i was thinking to do so and they offered me 272 US$ only???
<img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Porsche Insurance in London quoted me 9280.00 British Pounds or around $16,000 a YEAR on a 2003 Carrera!!!!
I have had my License for 5 Years, no accidents, no claims, no tickets ever, age 23.
After an agent searched over 200 insurance companies he found a small insurance company that do it for 4800 British Pounds ($7000) a year but it's a little iffy. If my car gets totaled I some how feel as if that company is going to disappear and I won't see a penny.
Well it's a risk I'm going to have to take until I turn 27 when the rate drops substantially.
Fadz, I don't understand what you mean when you say third party liability. Can you elaborate on that? From my POV, if someone hits me and they are insured, I"m covered. If they are uninsured, I'm covered for that as well. If something hits my car, car gets stolen, etc...comprehensive insurance is covered. If I hit someone else, I'm covered for their person and their property. The only thing NOT covered is the damage on my car if I'm at fault (knocking on wood...)
$800/yr as a third vehicle
Would be $1300/yr if I make primary.
42/married/clean record / $500 deductable
high liability limits and I've sworn to always wear my seatbelt (and never attempt 287km/hr).
One bizarre data point. My '03C2 coupe replaced an '02 AudiS4 Avant. The insurance on the C2 is $120/year *cheaper* than the Audi. That was a nice surprise.
I think I'm paying on the order of $900/year.
38/married with 2 kids/clean record/ $500 ded/full coverage/$2500 total for a 97 993 C4S, 98 Lincoln Navigator 4x4 and 03 Honda Accord. The C4S is $900.00.

At 25, I was paying $3800/year clean record
2000 C2 last year. Added a 2002 ML 500 last year,
my insurance dropped to $3600 a year as they
said with ML as primary car, and porsche
as weekend driver, it actually saved me some
money.
Sometimes buying another car will help you
save money on your insurance premium.

i guess this is the reason why insurance companies are way too high in premiums.

Shop around. I'm 30, single, clean driving record (knock on wood) and my quote for a 996 was USD$1065 annually (actually cheaper than my M3!). I ended up buying a 986S instead and it was USD$1040.

What about coverage for PCA Driver Education days at a road course or during school days through a third party driving school!?
What have people's experiences been with actually making claimes? I'm investigating new insurance companies and plan on taking my car out for driver education days 4+ times a year and would like to feel covered.
These are untimed events, no racing, just learning driving skills. The road course is used for racing at other times but it's used by schools and PCA since it's a safe environment to learn how to drive your car.
Any insurance companies to avoid? Any that absolutely provide full coverage for these events?
