Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm running MPSS's even though they are not recommended for winter weather, they are real good for wet.

I sold my set just before this past winter (fail) but I planned to use my F150 anyway.

I pity anyone who has to drive to work in a 996 using summer tires.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That's right guys, she's out of the garage. I don't care, anymore, if this winter won't end, I've had enough!! She has been hibernating for 5 months, ENOUGH ALREADY!
I can't keep looking at her sleeping under the cover, anymore. Wednesday, she heads to CT (Speedsport) for a track inspection and brake fluid flush/ change and even though the roads still have plenty of s&*t on them, I'm taken her out!
This past Fall I had a ton of work done, new clutch, new x pipe 200 cell cats, new water pump, full tune up, new coolant, gear oil change, etc., and I never got to drive her. Spring is officially here, although someone forgot to tell Mother Nature.
So to all you left coasters, Southerns and lucky mountain men, we in the East are taken 'em out!!!! Cover is off, engine is on and hittin' the streets. To my friends in Canada, ya might still have to wait a bit....but not me!
LOL. I hear you. Funny you mention this as I was thinking today how I should plan on acquiring another set of wheels for winter rubber. I've had the car out a few times this past (uh, current and never-ending) winter but not as often as I would have liked. Have fun!
BTW snow forecast this coming Wednesday in South Eastern PA. Up to 4 inch. I wouldn't take her out just yet. Mine stops inside the garage if snow is anywhere in our area. I have V12 Kanooks summer tires all round on 18 inch wheels and they are treacherous in the slightest of snow fall. The rear of the car wants to go first under the slightest of acceleration on the slightest of curved road. In the dry, they are just fine. I lost mine and kissed a barrier which caused $4,500 worth of damage only 6 weeks ago. I was travelling ridiculously slow when this happened so that is the last time that MY car will ever see a snowy road. I pity anyone who has to drive to work in a 996 using summer tires. You are simply an accident just waiting to happen IMHO.
I hear ya guys. I got caught in snow once, while I was being followed by a NY State Trooper, on the way back to my house. He followed me for at least 15 mins (back country roads just men and him) and the whole time I was thinking " gotta be real careful, any sideways motion and the light will go on" finally, (after his computer came back with the requested info, I'm sure) he pulled off.
I'm running MPSS's even though they are not recommended for winter weather, they are real good for wet. Tuesday/Wednesday, flurries maybe a bit, but looks like Rt 22 S to CT or even the highway should be okay..........
Been driving mine all winter also. My winter tires are an old set of Michelin Pilot Alpins ... plenty of tread left, but too old and hard as rocks. Next year I'll be going for new snows, probably Blizzaks.
The blizzaks work great! I sold my set just before this past winter (fail) but I planned to use my F150 anyway. With the snow we've had, blizzaks would be suitable after the roads were plowed, not before.
No one knows how to drive in the snow around here, except for northern transplants like me, so I don't drive the 996 in snow because of them, not the car. Of course, I drove it 3 times last week when roads were dry, and weather over 40 & it was almost 80 here on Saturday, so I used the 996, but now it may snow tomorrow. Incredible.

That's right....even if I had winter rubber this past season I would not have taken the car out on heavy snow days not because of the car but I'm worried about an icehole that can't drive in snowy conditions plowing into me!
How was the coming out party Country911??
