After 5 days I called to check on the tracking and was told that they are out of 18's, they'd refund me the money, and I can keep the 19's for my troubles.

There are quite a few guys running turbo offset rears that stick out even more at 45mm in the rear.

Yesterday the refund was back in my account so I'm shopping again, but I began wondering if I could use these and just buy 19" tires.

I recently purchased 18" wheels for my 996 NB, but when the wheels arrived they were 19x8.5 et 56 & 19x10 et50. The dealer tried a second time to make it right and promised to send me the 18's I ordered. After 5 days I called to check on the tracking and was told that they are out of 18's, they'd refund me the money, and I can keep the 19's for my troubles. Hmmm... weird way to run a business. Yesterday the refund was back in my account so I'm shopping again, but I began wondering if I could use these and just buy 19" tires. I have search this forum for a similar 19" setup, but I keep finding posts that are just a little bit different than the offset of these 19's. Does anyone recognize these offset numbers and would they rub or be inset too much? I'm not excited about buying 19" tires since I have good 18's now and I have a tendency to accumulate tools and toys. Thanks for the help. Shane

Short answer is yes. There are quite a few guys running turbo offset rears that stick out even more at 45mm in the rear. Long answer is that you may need to roll the fenders depending on what tire size you go with(265 should be safe), rear alignment, lowered or not, even what tire brand/model as some have wider contact patches than others of the same size. You can always test mount a wheel and measure.
