Interesting to note that they suggested I use Swepco.

Make sure you can locate and loosen the fill plug before you drain the gear oil.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I want to change the Gear Oil in my Trans, I am at 105K on it since last changed at 90k not going to wait till 144k Interval like Porsche says. Last time was does at Porsche with OEM Fluid.
Which Gear Oil shall I use? car is a DD with Track Time and Cold Canada Winter days.
Porsche?
Motul?
Mobil 1 Delvac?
Mobil 1 Mobilube PTX?
Liqui Moly?
Redline?
Fuchs?
Eneos?
Royal Purple?
Also OEM Porsche Fluid is repackaged Liqui Moly? or Mobil 1 Delvac or Mobilube PTX?
Spent a lot of time researching this. I assume you mean the manual trans. The only approved is the porsche OEM and one other I could not find to buy. They do not say waht spec it is, just porsche special.
Some people are using the mobile 1 synthetic
Also redline has one they say is approved but is it the same price as the OEM.
Renntech has lots of info.
Any synthetic gear oil of the recommended weight will do just fine. The "porsche approved" is a marketing BS. You are really over-thinking this.
On my car, I put Royal Purple in the differential after I got, it works fine.
If you changed the fluid at 90K and it only has 15K miles on it it is premature to change the fluid again this soon.
But if you want to
Since the OE fluid has gotten the tranny to 105K miles with no issues I fail to see what you can gain by switching away to another (need I say unapproved?) fluid at this time.
Furthermore, I fail to understand why every one it seems is so willing to offer up their car as a test bed to test some other fluid. I do not know what is to be gained and the risk is an expensive transmission rebuild or replacement should the replacement fluid be inadequate.
The OE fluid certainly isn't inadequate. My 02 Boxster's 5-speed has covered over 277K miles with just scheduled transmission fluid changes using the stuff dispensed by the dealer's service department. Takes less than 3 liters and 0.3 hours labor. The Turbo requires a bit more fluid and a bit more labor but its 6-speed is up to 118K miles and will continue to receive regular changes of the OE fluid.
Maybe you ought to wait until someone else runs Redline or Royal Purple 277K miles with no transmission issues before you switch?
If you use this be ready for very hard shifting when the trans is cold.
The Motul 300 75W/90 worked well for me.

That is not true at all.... We use it in all our customer cars. No one has ever experienced very hard shifting. Especially here in CNY were you have Extreme cold temps both in the early spring and late fall driving season.
If you check with many of the indie shops they are using 1 of 3 options.
OEM replacement: Mobil
DE Track/DD: Motul
Heavy Track: Redline (we have a special mix ratio we use for track cars)
At the end of it all it really is how much you want to spend and how often you change the fluid.
If you car is only sees a fluid change every 100k... then the Mobile option best suites the situation.
Actually there is a pretty substantial cold weather difference between "Porsche Approved"
Mobilube-PTX
and "Porsche Approved"
SHC/Delvac

I had no experience with the G96.00/.30 back when I was living in the Berkshires (not that far from you) and I realize these are just a slightly different Porsche transmissions but the G96.96, G50.05 and G50.20 all were horrible during the winter with Delvac until the gearbox came upto temperature. I remember even having to double-clutch the G50.05 when it got really cold!
My experience with Delvac 75W-90 was very notchy shifting in the winter when cold (+or- 10 degrees from 32F) until warmed 30 minutes or so later (worked fine when all warmed up, but my commute was only 30 mins so I remained frustrated). I tried Amsoil HD, Mobil1... all a waste of my time and money (I'll use the short life oil in my BMW bike) although I enjoyed the experiment.
I went to my dealer and he gave me a great discount for being PCA... approx $30/qt for OEM (need 3 Qts). Shifting returned to normal and I will stick with OEM for that price.
Good luck!
just went back to OEM gear oil after trying a few options (Castrol 75W90, Mobil 75W90, Mobil 75W140).
OEM oil definitely shifts better when the transmission is cold.
My dealer had it in OEM packaging of 1 liter (with Porsche P/N), $35/l at shop price.
That's crazy expensive for some stupid oil, but if I had to do it again I would stay with Porsche OEM.
My indie used lubromoly - remember Porsche doesn't make fluids - they buy from a local supplier in their branded package -
I'm happy with that so far ...
Was considering this too as routine maintenance as I've hit 95k. Sounds like an easy enough job, but is it necessary to put all four corners on jack stands to do it? I was just hoping to get a creeper under there or back the rear end up on ramps, loosen the bolts, and drain/refill on a level surface.
My car had really notchy shifting when I bought it (especially 1-2 shifts when cold), so I drained the fluid and I'm currently running some Lucas 75w140 for a few weeks to "flush" it out. The shifting was greatly improved with the Lucas fluid and the transmission is noticeably quieter, though the notchiness is still present when cold. I'll be going back to the OEM fluid when I have an opportunity.
I'd like to use the OEM fluid, which from what I understand is rebranded Shell Spirax. Of course from the dealer it's expensive, but I'm having trouble finding anywhere that sells the Shell oil. Anyone buy any recently at a decent price?
After looking around, I finally ordered the Porsche oil from ECS Tuning. Their price was about $30 a liter. Sonnen actually had it cheaper at about $25 a liter. However, after I placed my order online, they called and said something about not having the proper MSDS license to ship. Interesting to note that they suggested I use Swepco. My dealer wanted about $42 a liter. Not surprisingly, their quote to have the tech do the tranny and front diff was quite high.
