Gonna complain for a second......I had installed a Pioneer AVH-P8400 BH with my iPone 4 in my cab which integrates the iPhone with numerous apps (all the ones above plus a browser).

Unfortunately our friends at Apple changed the video output technology with the iPhone 5 and now you need a conversion box, firmware download and a different cable from Apple to go to the iPhone 5 - net cost installed is ~$250.

As for manually setting toe before and after a race or track event, I found this $30 solution to work pretty well.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

(btw it didn't work with an aftermarket adapter - after buying an original Apple adapter it works beautifully)

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the obvious navigation, Harry's lap timer, Pandora, weather bug, NPR feed, urban spoon, etc. What am I missing? No games--just driving stuff. What's the name of the app and what does it do?

POST 3Original post

torque pro (coupled with an ELM 327 hooked to the ECU) And of course.... Vroom! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCONkpTZL-M

K well uh yep.......awe boi

POST 6Original post

I can't seem to find Torque Pro for the iPhone, does it exist? Or only on Android?

POST 7Original post

Best app out there in my opinion is waze. Must better than a radar detectors on busy routes like I 95.

Unfortunately our friends at Apple changed the video output technology with the iPhone 5 and now you need a conversion box, firmware download and a different cable from Apple to go to the iPhone 5 - net cost installed is ~$250. Really annoying because without the upgrade all you can really do is audio (Pandora etc). Just a heads up.

Ya... it might only be for Android....

POST 11Original post

Escort Live! app to pair with your radar detector.

POST 12Original post

I would go with EngineLink for the IPhone as your ELM327 app. And of course valentine >>>>>> escort!

hmm...I have the Pioneer AVIC-X930BT and was originally setup for video playback using my iPhone 4. For my iPhone 5, all I needed to buy was the Apple iphone 4 to iphone 5 adapter and it works exactly the same. (btw it didn't work with an aftermarket adapter - after buying an original Apple adapter it works beautifully)

+2 0n waze. When you select your car icon, the first page has Porsche 911.

Angry IMS. Its kinda like Angry Birds except the birds are ball bearings trying to destroy your engine. It is addictive.

POST 16Original post

Gator every time I come across your post I forget to read what you write. Your avatar just steals my attention.

POST 17Original post

For the track junkies, Gone are the days when you had to mount a camcorder to your car(yes I actually did this back in the day) to review your driving on a course. I found this or any other versions to be great at analyzing and improving your driving skills. http://racerender.com/TrackAddict/Features.html Also for the track guys with adjustable suspension components this comes in handy if you have adjustable top hats or adjustable control arms. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/camb...437850856?mt=8 As for manually setting toe before and after a race or track event, I found this $30 solution to work pretty well.

POST 18Original post

I'd heard good things about Waze... went to app store and downloaded. Vroom! sounds cool... looked it up in the app store, bought it... can't wait to try it. Redtube... couldn't find it. Finally did a Google search - and realized that Gator's avatar is more closely related to that suggestion than any App! LOL

the real problem is the AVH-P8400BT can't accept the output format of the iPhone 5. The AVIC-X930BT does.
