Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check coolant level' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check coolant level' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ive heard of winter prep but what if I skipped that because I had to relocate for work and have a 15 month old. DT40 changed in 10/2024, less than 500 miles on it. No fuel stabilizer but was using no ethanol fuel. Been on a battery tender. When parked all was good and no known issues with motor. What are things to look for or should do before my first start since parking it in February?
Should be fine to start/drive. Check the oil level before starting and ten let her rip. Shake the cob webs off and use it for a few days, develop a punch list of things that you may need to address.
I find that when I first turn on my car after not using it for a while it is "bitchy" and takes a few miles to get back in its groove. The more I use it, the better it is. These cars hate sitting.
Check tire pressure and do a quick scan for varmint nests. You'll likely have flat spots on the tires but they will work out after 10 miles. Check coolant level. I don't follow the 6 mos or 1,000 miles rule. I drive 500 miles a year and change the oil every 2 years.
Always good after the car sits for awhile to drive it for a good lengthy stint to get the engine and oil good and hot to burn off the moisture in the oil. Enjoy!
Yeah, if its old crappy oil in the car and its sat for awhile, I would change it asap before getting it up to temp. But if it was put away with relatively new oil, I always drive it for an hour or two to burn off the moisture and listen for any noises that may have developed.
