Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Performed · outcome unconfirmed
On the second interface, I used standard RCA-to-phono-plug audo wire to insert my iPod in place of the CD changer.

Suggestion
For testing, I have a temporary route from the CD changer to the headlamp cavity, and from there backwards to the door hinge and into the cabin near the glove box.
Leading evidence: 'Use standard rca-to-phono-plug audo wire' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'same one referenced by loren) carries the control signals' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Test i have a temporary route' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My friend has an IPOD with a radio transimter. It lets you listen to the ipod through your radio. The quality is suprisingly good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> . The car behind you and infront of you can also hear the station from the IPOD so you can all listen to the same music on road trips.

Just now got around to trying this myself, and took a slightly different approach (I have the CDR-220 with the CD changer in the trunk). I simply hijacked the audio wire that the CD changer uses to output its left/right channels.
There are 2 interfaces to the CD changer. The first one (probably the same one referenced by Loren) carries the control signals. The second carries the audio signals from the CD changer back to the in-dash unit. Both are accessible immediately behind the CD changer (once removed from the mounting bracket).
I left the first interface intact (the in-dash unit still controls the CD changer, but to no effect). On the second interface, I used standard RCA-to-phono-plug audo wire to insert my iPod in place of the CD changer. The only thing left to do is find a suitable route for this wire back into the cabin so you can have the iPod with you.
For testing, I have a temporary route from the CD changer to the headlamp cavity, and from there backwards to the door hinge and into the cabin near the glove box. The results are fantastic. The sound quality is overwhelmingly better than the FM modulators (especially in Dallas, where my radio picks up a station on every other tick).
Anyone know a preferred, permanent route of threading the audio wire more directly from the trunk through the firewall?
