Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Will repaint front bumper & repair/repaint a couple of hail dings on roof.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's ok, not fantastic. Least desirable interior color, less desirable tip transmission, very low options. Aftermarket exhaust tips installed incorrectly, well detailed but obvious wear on the interior plastics.
[QUOTE=onewhippedpuppy;11208079] Least desirable interior color. QUOTE]
Really? I think Savannah/Tan it is one of the richest colors for an interior. Its a classic interior leather color that's been around nearly as long as black leather.
To each his own I guess.
I think the price is decent, especially for a dealer. Depending upon a clean PPI of course.
It is a good price if it checks out based on wholesale prices.
Tips sell for less than manuals.
Inspection of the service history (seems like they're offering) and a reputable local PPI is recommended.

Not in any way scientific, but it seems like the tan interior cars get far more "ugly interior" comments than the gray or black.
That interior color would be a deal killer for me...it's the same color as all of those 80's-vintage light switch and outlet cover plates. I don't mind tan, but I just can't stand the yellowish putty color Porsche uses. Red is worse...it may look fine for the first year or two, but a faded red (pink) 911 interior is just heinous, and the leather, vinyl, carpet, and fabrics all discolor differently over time.
In addition to fading, the colored interiors also just can't hide wear and tear as well as the black interior can. Black seat bolsters can generally be revived with some good conditioning; the colored leathers just don't look good unless you spend the $$$ to recover or respray them.
Back to this specific 996: That radio bezel looks crappy, too.
Just purchased an 01 C4 blk on blk Carrera 6sp w/ 83k a short time ago in NJ , new tires , front axles , & complete brakes for 19k.
Replaced leaking spark plug tubes , plugs , oil , filters , etc .
Esthetically it's pretty clean . Will repaint front bumper & repair/repaint a couple of hail dings on roof.
I think location influences prices somewhat ---seems your find is worth a close consideration if it's what you want .
W/ all due respect to flashy colored Porsche owners , can't say red is my thing , but did own this awhile back which is a bit different vehicle category --34 Ford w/ GM big block .
Savannah is one of the BEST interior colors. It's very warm and comfortable. Not sure why anyone would dis it, but I absolutely love it. Prolly would not have bought my car with one of the other interiors.
Guards Red with tan is a great color combo. That's what my 964 was. I like black interior better now as it holds up better! But i've already decided my next Porsche car will be Guards Red.
I don't see the price anywhere. It will be highly dependent upon mileage. This model year should be in the 80k range on average. Also maintenance is important, IMSB replacement adds a few thousand. Vehicle looks pretty good, I'd fix exhaust tips. Fair price should be around $22k give or take.

Wow -- that is a sharp looking car. Get it checked out, but that might be a winner. Price is good, even you need to attend to the IMS and the like on your own dime.
