Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The tools are over $1200 and since i am doing the solution, ostensibly i'm only doing this once and will have no use fonr the tools after this.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi! Long time lurker and admirer of all the site's accumulated knowledge here. I am pulling my 99k mile engine on my 02 Targa this winter and doing a good amount of work on it, Including LN IMS Solution, UAOS, throttle body, RMS, etc. I already purchased my IMS solution from Pelican Parts during a big sale, and got a great deal on it. However, I am now learningthat if I had purchased it through LN (which i hadnt even thought to look at doing since they have a number of distributors), I could have borrowed the tools from LN (with deposit). Since i didnt buy directly from them, I cannot, it seems. The tools are over $1200 and since i am doing the solution, ostensibly i'm only doing this once and will have no use fonr the tools after this. So here is my question: Does anyone have the tolls I can loan/rent from you? I am happy to work out the terms for payment/deposit/etc, and happy to provide any amount of documentation to provide comfort in the transaction. I have a long history of transactions on manyy sites with perfect transaction history across all and happy to provide more info. Anyway, I am hoping to find someone willing to work with me. I appreciate the consideration in advance!

POST 2Original post

I made the tool myself and it pulled just fine. Cost me about $20 total. I certainly do not condone skipping guys like LN to do the job, but you certainly do not need all those tools to pull the bearing. At the end of the day the motor is a mechanical device and thus treat it like one. A bearing is a bearing. I can link you to some of the info on building these if you have interest. I also built the cam locking tool based on the same. It worked a charm. I also work in the CAD world, so I am happy to send the model in any format if you want someone to 3D print or make from steel/aluminum (preferred).

I would be quite interested in seeing those options, thank you! I'm also in the CAD universe - architecture, not engineering, but I do a large amount of surface modeling so I would very much find the file useful!

POST 4Original post

@Clockel the IMS Solution install needs specific tools, which is what I think the OP is trying to find. -Tom

Ah, maybe for install then. I made the install tool as well for mine, but regardless it is not an LN kit. Fair enough.

you should probably bookmark and follow this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...and-parts.html it seems you have the luxury of time good luck with the task

I would be very interested in looking at that information, thanks! I also come from the CAD universe - architecture, not engineering, but i also do a lot of surface modeling and some amount of fab modeling so it would be amazing to check out that file!

Same same. Architecture and some engineering here. Have a few different models. Let me know the form of export. Cheers.
