Suggestion · Original poster

Id really prefer to do something that looks a little more period-correct without shelling out for Litronics, so I'm leaning towards a bi-xenon with a slightly warmer bulb option and forgoing the Panamera daytime running lights.

Does anyone have the bi-xenon units installed and has anyone forgone the Panamera running lights on their install?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm considering doing the RetroFit Lab headlight upgrade for my gen 1 car and it's been hard to find decent photos of them in the context of a whole car and not just close up shots. If you've done the mod, can you please post some pics? I'd love to see more full face shots with them lit and I'd love to know if you went for the bi-xenon or the bi-LED option. Id really prefer to do something that looks a little more period-correct without shelling out for Litronics, so I'm leaning towards a bi-xenon with a slightly warmer bulb option and forgoing the Panamera daytime running lights. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Here are a few of mine. I did the Bi Led with running lights. I can get full car pictures tomorrow. My other car is in the way. I love the look and the function of them.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nice! And you're a fellow Arctic Silver with carbon mirror shells enjoyer, too! Yeah, some shots of the whole car/out of garage would be sick. Thanks man.

POST 4Original post

I'm on the hunt for a decent set of clear 996.1 headlights to do this retrofit on.

POST 5Original post

Here is with the running lights on and then normal lights on for at night.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

@Joey996 Looks excellent, man! Thanks for taking the time to do that. Does anyone have the bi-xenon units installed and has anyone forgone the Panamera running lights on their install? I'd love to see what that looks like.

POST 7Original post

I like the look, but after watching the DIY video, there's no way I would attempt to do that with very expensive 25 year old plastic.

Once my headlights come back, I may have a decent set of 996.1 headlights for sale. Not perfect but good enough to use for a retrofit job (since you should replace all the wiring anyway). See post 11527 in this thread for details as to what I've done to them: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...today-769.html
