Suggestion

If you buy used Litronics know that the upgrade wiring harness is about $200 if you buy it separate from the headlamps, so a set of new lights in a kit is often cheaper than used lamps at market prices plus new wiring.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to update the amber taillights on my early 996 to clear units and replace the stock headlights w/ Litronic units. Anyone know of a source for these at discount (new or used from a dismantler). TIA, Rob

POST 2Original post

Try Carnewal.com, Suncoast Porsche, and Performance Products. They all have them.

POST 3Original post

Coincidentally enough, you might also try Foreign Affairs Motorsports. They had an ad recently in the newsletter of the Goldcoast Region of the PCA for Litronics. I don't recall the price, but I recall thinking it was pretty good. Talk to Bobby at (954)746-0488. Hope this helps, Mike

POST 4Original post

The lowest prices I have seen are from Suncoast Motorsports. I have checked out ads on eBay endlessly and dismantlers barely match Suncoast's new price. If you buy used Litronics know that the upgrade wiring harness is about $200 if you buy it separate from the headlamps, so a set of new lights in a kit is often cheaper than used lamps at market prices plus new wiring. And Rennlist members get an additional break at Suncoast on most parts, I do not recall if the lighting conversion kits are already fully discounted. There seems to be very little traffic in the clear rears used, the few sets I have seen have gone at higher prices than discounted new.

POST 5Original post

If not done already... do not forget your clear side markers.

You may also want to try autolamps-online.com for the Philips SilverVision turn signal bulbs, you have to buy bulbs for the rears anyway.
