Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Already two small scuffs in the driver's seat. Small areas where the surface leather seperated from the base leather underneath. My car has a natural brown leather interior - is this a normal event with this type of leather or should I bring the car back to the dealer? I have not worn jeans in the car and never carry anything even remotely sharp with me.

POST 2Original post

I would take it back to the dealer, but they might very well call it "wear and tear". Good Luck, Robert

POST 3Original post

Considering that NBL and NGL are more expensive you would think that they would be more durable. Bummer!

POST 4Original post

Back to the dealer. Should NOT happen to a 6 day old car.

POST 5Original post

Take it back and keep us posted, as I ordered a GT3 with NBL interior.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Brought my car back to the dealer this afternoon. They said it was an easy repair and will be ready tomorrow night. I'll keep everyone posted as to how it looks. As for the car, I am very happy with it. I am only in the break in period so I can't wait to take it up into the higher RPMs.

POST 7Original post

I have 8000 miles on my 02 with natural brown and it has held up just fine. Good luck, make sure it's a good repair job... my 996
