Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The latter for modern technology that offers comfort/no crashiness over ridges, road repair patches etc.
Leading evidence: 'Repair patches etc' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair patches etc' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Are Porsche RoW springs (for a 4S) handed or do both sides use the same spring?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have decided to just do Eibach lowering springs (25-30mm lowering) and new dampers/shocks (Koni Sport) for my 2004 996 C4S instead of coilovers as i just dont need super aggressive suspension for everyday driving and prefer a comfy ride. What are the other key components to change out while doing this upgrade? I have read that Strut mounts, bump stops and dust boots, control arms (or at least the bushings), sway bars (front and back), sway bar drop links with a full alignment are a must for a great new feel. If this is the case should i go stock on all of these or does anyone have recs on better aftermarket parts as I would rather do this once and properly. Thanks
** Following as I’ll need to go down this path eventually. I too think I prefer just an OEM+ solution, over an aggressive set up.
Please document your process/progress

If u dont need an agressive suspension then u dont need the aftermarket sway bars. Save the money and buy the rest of the arms and replace all the rubber.
I dont think its wasted as it will benifit a stockish suspension...i just dont think he needs it. The factory bars r more then enough for street and canyon driving. I even know guys turning very good track times with stock bars. Buying a set of Feals for the cost of the bars and the lowering struts would yield a better carving car but thats not what he wants.
Also, i was trting to point out that every piece of rubber in that cars suspension is ovet 20 yrs old. Its been discussed in nausium that its all timed out and needs to be replaced. That should be the op's priority. U can always add bars in the future if he wants to stiffen the car up.
Lower control arms and forward arms will really complement new struts + springs. Would probably skip the sway bars and just throw in some new bushings. I wouldnt go cheap on any of these items.
Thanks for all the great comments. So to clarify what I plan to do:
New dampers/shocks (Koni Sport, Bilstein B6/8 - whichever has the more comfortable ride)
Eibach pro-kit lowering springs (25-30mm lowering)
New strut mounts with bearing kits
Lower control arms
Drop links + Tie rods
Bump stops (all 4)
Any other bushings?
Do a full refresh at the same time. It is totally worth it. I went to Bilstein B6’s I think…..with H&R sport springs.
The Eibach sway bars are VERY stiff and if you’re going stocking suspension you won’t like it. I put them on my 986 with stock suspension and it is stiffffff.
All the rear parts

The front parts. U can delete the inner tie rods and boots.

Konis are more comfortable than Bilsteins. Bilsteins B4 are their most comfortable option (and cheapest).
Are you sure you want to lower your car with Eibach Pro-Kits? Doing so will reduce your available shock travel, putting you much closer to your bump stops and the end of shock travel (bottoming out).
If you proceed with the Pro-Kits, youll want to trim the bump stops. Trim the fat end off - youll retain the progressive nature of the bump stops by keeping the narrow end. If you remove the narrow end, the progressive nature of the bump stops disappear and youll feel the crashiness as the bump stops engage.
Bilstein B4 or Koni Special Active. The latter for modern technology that offers comfort/no crashiness over ridges, road repair patches etc. and a lot of composure/body control when canyon carving.
If you want a comfy ride skip the sway bars, mine came with Eibachs and they make the car more jittery than it should be on uneven pavement.
Eibach springs + Koni Special Actives should do the trick but IIRC you need to cut bump stops to buy yourself more suspension travel.
Correct. Front and rear pairs, not corner specific. You do need to ensure the pairs have same rates. Check that they have same color paint dots on the spring spirals, themselves.
