Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can you use the stock end links on a MK2 when lowering your car an inch with PSS10s if you already have adjustable upper control arms?? I have adjustable end links as well, but i don't want to use them unless i have too.. I feel like im getting too much race inspired parts on the rear and everything is stock in the front... Im going to align my car with zero toe end and -1.2 camber in the rear so i can have the tires last a log time.. So.. any real world suggestions would be great from people how actually work on their cars and have done this..

POST 2Original post

You should be fine, especially if you're only lowering it an inch.

POST 3Original post

Just put the adjustable endlinks on, it will make life easier.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I currently do have them on the car.. It just seems like it wants to over steer because the back is so much more rigid then the front..

zero toe in the rear isn't going to help with oversteer. Also from my expereince, too much negative camber in the rear casued oversteer, especially in a lowered vehicle. The PSS10's and adjustable control arms are not causing oversteer.

POST 6Original post

Besides actually physically being able to connect two points, adjustable end links are only needed if there is tension being placed or binding at rest. Another misconception of end links, is always needing to use two of them. Many racers just use one if they can dial out the preload(which can be done in most cases).

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is good to know.. I have about -3 deg now.. or last time i tried to align it .. so I got upper control arms... I suppose im going to take off the end links...
