Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I did the Microsoft based re-boot of the car (turned everything on and off a few times) and it went back to normal operation...

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was in the process of taking a wheel off the car to have a slow leak looked at when I realized that the hood and engine cover release latches will not work! They seem to be jammed and even putting a medium amount of force on them won't budge... I am afraid of using any more. Any ideas? I have read that there is an emergency release somewhere at the front of the car but cant find it. Thanks....

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK - Sorted it out! I did the Microsoft based re-boot of the car (turned everything on and off a few times) and it went back to normal operation... Gates influence in Porche-land... Thanks anyway.

POST 3Original post

Curious about your Targa Tasmania note in your address....I lived in Tassie for several years and my company sponsored a car in the event, I just had a friend send me DVD copies of the '97, '98 '02 rallies. Did you compete? One of the great rallies of the world and the Porsche museum usually enters at least one car. Your address says New Jersey which is a bit north of Tasmania (I also see that Newfoundland is setting up the same kind of rally)
