Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm sorry to say I sold my Ruf exhaust last week on basically a whim. I thought I was not having fun with the mods anymore and someone made a good offer on the mufflers, so I sold them. Since then, put the stock exhaust on the car, boy what a difference they are sooo quiet ... what a freakin' mistake. Now what to do...PSE, another set of Rufs, or forget about it 'cause I'll end up buying a TT anyway...?? Does anyone sell Ruf exhausts in the US? I bought my last set from Weissach in Canada.

POST 2Original post

I would get a PSE and then Gemballa in that order. People seem to love the sound of the PSE. I think both of these exhausts are very Porsche sounding. I bought the Gemballa, but then switched to the PSE. Some people say it sounds like a Porsche race car at full open throttle.

POST 3Original post

I haven't heard the RUF, but have PSE on my Carrera, and absolutely love it. The sound is intoxicating!!!

POST 5Original post

Take a look at the sport exhausts which are being auctioned on Ebay by Gemballa itself.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think I'm leaning towards PSE at this point ( may as well try something different). That is, unless I can get a better deal on another Ruf. BTW will the "new" PSE work on the 3.4L motors? I know there was a specific Sport Exhaust for my year ('99-01) with a smaller bypass graft

POST 8Original post

DJ996, Just to let you know, you're not the only one who did something crazy like selling away your car mods thinking you were bored... I had 15k worth of items and swaped for some chump change and stock parts with a friend thinking I had enough fun with the car and was going to sell it, but when I got it all back to stock I realized, that #1, the car was still perfect, #2 i needed some mods... I like you also couldn't get the parts I sold back, so I had to buy new ones at the cost of new ones.
