I recently installed the F1 insert and because of other factors can't really judge the difference, but I will say I am not unhappy with the result.

While it's there, I'm having my original motor mounts replaced with Wevo semi-solid mounts.

My mechanic/tuner recommended Wevo over the Porsche RS mounts.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The C4S is in the shop today for an oil change and a few other things. While it's there, I'm having my original motor mounts replaced with Wevo semi-solid mounts. I can't wait to see if I can tell the difference.
I'll report back tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to it. I was planning a DIY for this, but the car is at my Porsche mechanic anyway for a major service (plugs, fluids, filters, etc.) and a few other things. I asked them to go ahead and install them.
I just picked up the car today after completing this upgrade. As others have said in many posts, this is a great improvement. The car feels much more solid and the shifting is improved. I was actually quite surprised how much better it is. Highly recommended!
Good to hear Dennis! I am planning to do this mod myself during the spring, a C4S currently on stock mounts to wevo semi solid.
Did you notice any difference in noise or vibrations?
Its not fair to compare worn out OE mounts to anything new, even if it is aftermarket. The only way to know if they are better then the Porsche ones is by installing both on the same car back to back. For all we know, new Porsche mounts can give the same or very close to same results as these aftermatket units.
I'm not sure why you think that this thread was meant to be "fair" or was meant to provide a comparison between aftermarket motor mounts and new OE motor mounts. It wasn't. There were no claims made in this thread that the Wevo semi-solid motor mounts are better than new OE motor mounts. I reported on my experience with new Wevo motor mounts compared to my worn out OE mounts. My report was subjective. That's all. You said "For all we know, new Porsche mounts can give the same or very close to same results as these aftermarket units." What are these "results" that you mention? Do you mean the way the car feels? Do you mean the way the car shifts? Do you have an objective result in mind?
If you'd like to present objective data that compare Wevo semi-solid mounts to OE mounts, then by all means start a new thread.
I have the Wevo mounts plus the F1 insert. When I installed the motor mounts a couple of years ago the vibration/noise change was minimal. I recently installed the F1 insert and because of other factors can't really judge the difference, but I will say I am not unhappy with the result.
The cool thing is if you don't like the insert, or the mounts for that matter, they're both a snap to change.
My belief, to your point, is that stock would have been a huge improvement over my worn mounts.
I was looking for something a little bit stiffer than stock. My mechanic/tuner recommended Wevo over the Porsche RS mounts.
So far, so good!
Dennis, there are always people like that, there was a thread about the gold rims, I made a simple comment along this line, "the gold rims generally go well with pretty much any exterior color." There were few members used my comment in quotes and went against me by saying "I don't think so", "I disagree." Who cares? it was my subjective feedback, no need to quote my comment to reply to the thread.
By the way, stock rubber mounts will probably give the same result for about a good 6-12months, but won't continue to provide the same rigidity like the aftermarket parts made with the different materials.
