Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Did they make a hard top for the 2004 C4S cab models ? Lot's of C2 info, but widebody different? If answer is yes, can it be retrofit if not on original?

POST 2Original post

Same hardtop for both bodies. 997 is the same as well. There were two attachment post styles depending on the year. They can be changed. Don't pay too much as they are plentiful. Hold out for the correct color too.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thank you jwex16, i assume that can be done even if marked "hardtop delete"? so where is the "wide body" wide if one size fits all and why two wind deflector sizes? confused as usual........

POST 4Original post

Hardtop delete does not always mean that the attachment hardware is not there. My 02 was a delete and the hardware was there. My 04 TT came with a top. Both used the bayonette version, not the screw down. You can do some searches and find photos of what the hardware looks like and for which attachment post. It can be changed or added. The tops are the same for both bodies. I am not sure about the wind deflectors but I would think they are the same. The rear are a couple inched wider overall in the quarter panels back to the bumper. I believe the interior is identical among the two.

POST 5Original post

in case your car does NOT have the hardware already in it, good read on a DIY retrofit: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...t-a-997-a.html

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
