Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

I believe some have made their own plug to mate with the under-seat connector and skip the expensive Porsche set, though you still have to have it coded by your dealer.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My commute to the office is longer than most (60 miles each way), but it isn't too bad when I get to drive amazing roads like this in a Porsche. It definitely beats sitting in traffic of the freeway. Enjoy the video and subscribe to our YouTube channel to keep up with all of our videos. You Tube

POST 2Original post

Baby on board = you win. This coming from a guy with a Recaro ProBooster in back. My three year old's favorite phrase - "go faster daddy". Gotta start them young.

Thanks! We also rock two Recaro ProBoosters in the back, and my 4 year old daughter is always telling me to "go faster".

POST 4Original post

Is it ok to put a kid in the front seat like that? I don't think we can disable the airbag, right?

POST 5Original post

Porsche has a kit to disable the airbag when a baby seat is installed. I believe there are a couple of DIY ways that it can be done as well.

POST 6Original post

Would someone please post link on airbag disabling/ safety of rear facing baby seat in 996. It's almost spring here in CO and I'm more often than not daycare chauffeur... The turbo wagon is sweet and all but it'd be nice to have the 996 as an option!

POST 7Original post

Nice. Had i landed that new job my daily commute would have looked like that too but at only 30km's. Still manage to do that sometimes on the way home.
