This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

I suspect the unavailability of the Club Sport model is due to this and possibly liability fears by PCNA over the roll cage, which I wouldn't quite describe as "hidden".

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm debating between a GT3 or waiting for the updated "997" discussed in the latest Automobile mag, assuming they know what they're talking about. When looking thru the ordering guide for the GT3 we in the US can't get the factory hidden roll cage or the european sport seats. Why?????? What stupid US safety law precludes getting the "good stuff"?

POST 2Original post

According to Pano the seats are not approved by the feds. I don't know if this is because Porsche has never submitted them for crash testing or if the feds don't like some design aspect of the seats. I suspect the unavailability of the Club Sport model is due to this and possibly liability fears by PCNA over the roll cage, which I wouldn't quite describe as "hidden". I wouldn't hold the order over this, all of the parts are available aftermarket and it probably won't be hard to sell the sport seats. Karl

POST 3Original post

I'm sure a lot of it is driven by potential lawsuits the way things are in the U.S.!
