I used to have power seats, and I set the memory in reverse, but I still had to lock/unlock the car with the remote, or press the corresponding memory number button on the sill each time I drove the car to make my mirror swivel.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 99 Cab right side auto-swivelling side mirror no longer rotates down when I put the car in reverse. I can however electrically control the mirror adjust switch on the left. Anyone experience this problem? Thanks, Walt

POST 2Original post

I have a 2002 Coupe and I don't recall mine ever working. Finny, because I had a BMW before and liked that feature.

POST 3Original post

On the 2001 Turbo, if you wish this function you must save your seat and mirror settings with the gear in reverse. Stephen

POST 4Original post

It's probably a reverse-light switch that's out, same thing happened to me. See if your reverse lights are out as well. When they replace the switch the mirror will start swivelling again...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It was the memory setting. Have to set it while in reverse. Thanks everyone. Walt

POST 8Original post

I used to have power seats, and I set the memory in reverse, but I still had to lock/unlock the car with the remote, or press the corresponding memory number button on the sill each time I drove the car to make my mirror swivel. Hmmmm. DT
